Geralt exchanges his soul for Yennefer's, which pleases the leader of the Wild Hunt...
After Geralt and Yennefer were killed at the end of the book series, Ciri took them to the isle of avalon where Geralt and Yennefer could be with each other forever. One day the Wild Hunt kidnapped Yennefer and Geralt goes on a hunt to rescue her. He eventually meets up with Letho, another Witcher from the Viper school, and they help out with the hunt for Yennefer in which they do find the Wild Hunt and Yennefer. Geralt trades himself for Yennefer and he becomes a rider of the Wild Hunt. Eventually he gets freed from the Wild Hunt and ends up back near Kaer Morhen with Amnesia, and then Witcher 1 begins.
