You must have accidently chosen the "off" answer when you started a new game by mistake.

you must select "simulate witcher 2 save = yes" when you start game. those five questions'll then come later in game when you progress some with story. and dont forget setting it in NG+ too later (it doesnt carry over).

Apparently you get asked these questions while getting a shave before the emporer. I'm only in white orchard.

I never finished Witcher 2.
Could anyone make a list of (goody two shoes in my case) answers to those questions? Even if I passed that "barber refresh" already...

If you never finished Witcher 2 then don't simulate the Witcher 2 save.

I didn't simulate anything that I'm aware of. It just popped up in the middle of some barber moment.

Here, read this:

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/what-the-choices-of-the-witcher-2-mean-in-the-witc/1100-6427400/

But remember, you MUST select SIMULATE when starting a brand new game (this includes NG+) and choose YES in order to be asked these five questions. If you choose NO, you will get the default W2 world state and in that, Letho is dead. If you want Letho in your game, pick YES.
Great. I'm not sure who Letho is but I'm sure I'll pick on your advice.
Thanks.
I'm glad I chose Yes without noticing. And I hope I said Yes for that Letho guy.
Precious info.
Merci very much again.
Well, now I really hope I answered yes for that Letho guy. Too bad I couldn't know the whole story behind when I had to make that choice...
Thanks for the feedback.

No problem. Enjoy. The only good thing is that you can always start over. All you lose is your progress in White Orchard which is really not that much.
I don't see any Witcher game as a replayable one, but... even I could be wrong.

I don't think I coud be bored, the way W3 goes very well so far, compared to W2, on the gameplay point of view. I'm some sort of intuitive roleplayer, and I don't see how a story I played to its end could suddenly become different in another playthrough.
Many outcomes perhaps, but there is only one for me, according to the way my mind works and makes choices.
Only one choice, even among 36. There is only one Geralt in my mind. And only one way to chose...
