Merchant inventory reset
So a few of the merchants in the game keeps your stuff, very noticeable for the armorer in the novigrad square once you have sold a few hundred eq pieces and there's slowdown when you barter with him.

After getting towards the endgame he suddenly, after keeping seemingly everything i've sold through the playthrough to him, reset his inventory and all that stuff was gone.

I'm thinking it was a trigger when you get a certain way through the main quest(Final preparations I think) even the merchants who keep your stuff resets their inventory i'm guessing.

Feel free to shed some light on this.

--Read that it might be when you switch acts but i'm pretty sure that he didn't reset between act 1 and 2 so if that is the case then it's probably only between act 2 and 3.

Playing the game though it's always nice if people can supplement.

A quick google serach seems to confirm that all Merchants will reset in 5 days of game time. To test this simply sell a handful of items to a merchant, check to make sure they are re-selling them, and then meditate 4-6 days and see if it does truly reset on the 5th day or after it.

I'm talking about the ones that don't, not the ones that do which you are talking about.

If anyone still needs a solution, try this one.
1) Install Cheat Engine
2) Give yourself a big amount of money
3) Buy all the trash from the merchant
4) Dump it somewhere
5) Set your money back to normal

That's dumb. You can add and remove money through the console.

addmoney(amount)
removemoney(amount)

Cheat Engine serves no purpose here.
