*possible spoilers* the inspiration for Gaunter O'Dimm
''Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad also proved to be an inspiration, especially for the spoon scene:

That's why Breaking Bad's Gustavo Fring was a good fit - CD Projekt wanted to capture the calculating coldness of this otherwise ordinary-seeming man. It was a perfect fit for how the writers envisioned O'Dimm. There's something unsettling about a person who seems normal, yet they're capable of terrible things. We're hardwired to think the devil has horns.

There's a scene in Breaking Bad where Fring calmly puts on a boiler suit, walks close to one of his henchman and cuts his throat with a carpet knife. This scene was mirrored in one of O'Dimm's most memorable moments, when he first reveals his true powers to Geralt. You guessed it: it's the scene with the spoon. Towards the end of Geralt's contract, Master Mirror reveals the extent of his powers by freezing time when a man interrupts their conversation. As he leaves he casually pushes the handle of a wooden spoon deep into the man's eye - with a squelch - resuming time's flow so he can watch his body slump to the floor.''

iirc from watching breaking bad, fring killed the guy with the box cutter to make an example of him
gaunter killed the man with the spoon because he was an annoyance when he was trying to talk with geralt

they're both cold, but gus fring is more 'in the shadows' while gaunter has children singing about him openly and makes deals with many people freely

but i agree that gus fring was probably a big inspiration for gaunter, as well as the devil in polish folklore
and that he's evidently a god-like character because of the abbreviation of his name

I get your comparison and all that but how is this a possible spoiler? Gaunter O'Dimm is a demon, more precisely a crossroads demon. Whatever inspiration or influence that went into his creation -- while it's far more likely to have been drawn from slavic folklore than anything else -- is hardly a spoiler for the game.

If you believe this Breaking Bad character was an influence, more power to you. But spoilers are meant to denote things about the game itself, the story, etc., that someone might not have experienced yet for themselves. Speculation about the origin of an idea which shaped a character would and should hardly be considered a spoiler.
For example, the spoon in the eye? You never know what people might consider as spoilers. What if I ''spoiled'' his personality, , or his powers too? You never know with some crazy people these days. They might take anything for a spoiler.

Obvious sarcasm, but as I said, I could've spoiled GOD's personality and his powers for some people.
