do weapon encantments count for both blades?

for example, if i put severence on one blade and preservation on the other, will i have both bonuses permenantly?

right... so with the preservation enchantment, for example, i only get the whetstone/armorers table bonus if the correct sword is drawn? that doesnt make any sense, i can see the bonus on the HUD perminantly

it'd make sense as they're different weapons one stays sharp other doesnt... ofc weapon stats affecting armor defies much of logic

its a wasted effort to try and apply logic to enchantments and magic. im only trying to get to the bottom of the game mechanics.

i have worked out though that severance only applies to the respective enchanted blade, whereas preservation seems to apply to both. seemingly, there is no rhyme or reason pertaining to how many blades an enchantment affects

The whetstone and armorer's table always applied to both so yes, that enchantment would apply to both but not all of them would work that way. That particular enchantment is enhancing a third-party application to your swords, not applying a direct buff or bonus to that sword. Get it?
