Griffin part 3 armor diagram bug

I'm doing the griffin diagrams part 3 mission, and there was supposed to be a witcher sign in the rock next to the bandits camp, but there is nothing for me there. What do I have so that it appears?

You can still loot the chest without examining Griffin head sign.

Yes, but is there a way for the sign to show up? It's an OCD thing. All other scavenges will have 6 checkmarks on the log, minus this one, if I can't interact with the sign.

I appreciate that in such a massive game you want to pay attention to small things. I was not able to dive in water,so I restarted the game & was able to dive. So try restarting game.

I remember that one of the signs was in the ceiling or something - just don't know exactly which quest it was. I do think it was on Skellige. Sorry if I can't be of any further assistance.

I'm talking about the one on the beach on the norheastern part of the big island in skellige.

Yikes... I really don't remember a thing lol. Is that the one with the elemental?

No, it's the one with a lot of bandits. It's not even a cave, It's on a beach.

Ok, so I looked it up to refresh the memory a bit.
Mine has 5 entries, with corresponding checkmars, listing the following:

Find armor using witcher senses
Find steel using witcher senses
Find silver using witcher senses

Find amor diagram
Find steel diagram

For some reason, the silver isn't there with the last - even though the armor is the one on the beach and I did complete the quest and get the silver sword diagram. If I didn't find the mark on the beach (most likely, given I usually skip that and that I just tried to find it to no effect), it clearly had no effect on the checklist.

Interesting, so for you it was the silver sword. I have that one, so it's either a different bug or you missed it.

Actually in my earliest save, the sign is there, but that would mean losing like 20 hours of progress. Not to mention I use a checklist to keep track of all missions, so it would be impossible then to know exactly what missions I had done or not, as many don't show in the log... So I'm just going to keep playing.

Oh well, frigging triggers. My main complain with the game...

Most likely a bug. I remember the scavenger hunts for witcher gear had numerous bugs a while back - and this one was no different.

wen i was looking a video and had maybe witcher vision is old for gerald and waited for 10 am no help xD yeh tried multi things
just go at the edge of the beach near half scrapped rowboat and pick up the upgrades

I had issues with this too. The post about going to the end of the beach near the rowboats did it for me. The bullseye on the map was off just a bit and that's why I couldn't find it. There were 3 bandits sitting at a fire. The chest was behind them.
