Level 100 without NG+ ?
I've play this game awhile, never got around to finish DLC. Save is still in 1st playthrough.

When I finally came back to this game found out level cap has been raise to 100 in NG+.
What I'm interested to know is this:

Can I go pass Lv70 in my first playthrough? ...anyone tried?

Theoretically you can. You'd have to kill thousands of monsters though, since after doing all quests and finding all locations you'd still not have enough XP to hit 100 on the first playthrough.

You end up breaking the game if you enter NG+ more than level 52 or 53. Playing the game normally with no exploits, no cheats, or no mods that effect the XP gains in anyway will make it so you will enter the NG+ without breaking the game.

You literally do not want to get to level 70 in non NG+.

I have actually played the game without any cheats, exploits or mods and still playing it. I've finished B&W DLC just yesterday and I am actually level 52 and not to mention I have still many secondary quests, treasure hunts and contracts that I haven't done yet. So I don't really think that it'd break the game if I entered NG+ now... Correct me if I am wrong.

He's wrong, my current game is an NG+ that im mid way through already with no issues. After playing just about every quest in vanilla, HoS, and BW in the first play, my NG+ was from a level 54 save.

' you end up breaking the game ' stfuuuuuuuuuuu

You won't break the game if you start NG+ above level 52 or so, you will just reach the level cap and stop gaining any experience points. Equipment will also max out at 100 as will quests. You may see some monsters slightly above that but nothing red skull level.
WolfEisberg Jul 19, 2017 @ 2:21pm
I can't remember how far above level 50 you can go before NG+ breaks, but is is not far above it.

What was common for breaking is they reached to a point while playing NG+ where all the monster were red skulls, and gear was for over level 100.

If you do anything that effects the XP gains through cheating, exploring, or use xp effecting mods then you will break NG+ guaranteed. If you play normally, you will end up in the low 50s and you will not break NG+.

That was fixed in one of the final patches. But really there's little point if you reach the cap too soon as everything becomes the same.

As I said, I haven't used any mods, cheats or exploits and I am level 53 now, still have 18 secondary quests at this moment. Hopefully there isn't such thing as 'NG+ breaking' because that would be kind of weird, when you think about the fact that those quests were given to me before NG+ and I am getting the normal exp from each and every quest.
