Of swords and Dumplings (Hattori not being at docks)

So when i was doing another quest I ran into hattori and told him to wait (this happend at the docks how intended) . When I completed the quest I came to the docks after dusk but Hattori dissapeared. I tried meditating, fast travel and loding an old save ( after I met hattori) several times. pls help me

Just wait and walk around for a bit and he will eventually spawn, i know because i had the same problem.

Let me know if that works for you, having the same problem. I tried even zoning to different maps, then meditating..

I had to meditate while not looking at the docks and he re-appeared. However, each time I'm approaching him, he avoids me and goes away. I can't even talk to him. WHAT THE HELL!

I missed two secondary quests already because of some retarded bug, and now this?! I can't just have a third quest added to the list! Hattori is the only one who can make me master swords.

EDIT : I have just tried again, but I decided to follow him this time. He went to his home, and I still couldn't talk to him. So, I meditated for 1 hour OUTSIDE his house. I came back inside and I could finally talk to him. He said that I didn't show up, so I answered I would show up this time. Seems like the devs wanted to add a touche of "realism". That was a bit of a failure. Not entirely, just a bit.

Hey guys, for anyone having trouble with Hattori disappearing, I found a way to fix it (for my game at least), at least its worth a try. TLDR at bottom

First, you must have the time set to daytime, (ie, noon, midday) the quest cannot continue since its not dark yet, at this point Hattori should be at home but he is glitched out. So, go visit his empty house west for the Putrid Grove, the house will be empty, run upstairs, then exit the house.
This whole time your quest marker should still be at the docks meeting place.

Next, run to the quest marker at the docks. Hattori should immediately spawn in and start walking home, you can't talk to him at all (a little running around in the general area may be required according to others)

At this point, you can meditate there at the docks until dawn and he should show up like he's supposed to.

If that doesn't work I found that you have to go under the quest marker on the dock walkway bellow and it'll teleport you back up to the main road starting the cutscene. Seems the event trigger was placed too low.

incase anyone still has this issue: just go to his house and throw a bloody bomb at him, he'll reset and be at the dock afterwards

Found a solution, I did the same thing, avoided him once for another quest. Afterthat couldn't find him at the docks, remember there should be a blacksmith icon at his location on the minimap, which was not at the docks. So I went to his house and saw the icon. Went inside but couldn't find him and the icon was gone too. So I meditated again till after dusk still nothing at his house, but found him right after that by going to the docks
