Without dlc
I just have enough money to buy the base game and seeing the summer sale will end today my question is, Is it worth buying just the base game?

Absolutely.

Buy base now and get the DLC later. Keep your saves though so you can use them after you get the DLC.

I agree. It is completely worth it, the base game alone is massive and will keep you busy for while. I just bought the DLC this go around on the sale ( have not played the DLC yet) , but there is some free DLC that adds to the game play as well.

you must buy the dlc it's very good and i already finish the dlc. i really recommend it

Huh? The Game of the Year Edition is only $1 more. Buying the DLC separately will cost you way more than that. I'll spot you the $1 if you don't have it.

I've only touched on the DLC and haven't even finished the main story despite the near 90 hours of play time I have so far. Needless to say, the main game is great on its own.

Base for £14.99
Goty for £17.49

Regardless OP said they only just had enough for the base game

I understand the suggestion tho and if i did have enough money i do see the great offer of buying goty edition, I would have enough money tommorow but the summer sale ends then so that kinda sucks in this situation.,

Okay. In the U.S. the base game is $24 and the GOTY edition is $25.

You should get more money then 24.99 Witcher 3 GOTY edition is must don't buy base you regret it. W3 GOTY is complete. So hurry if you want to play?
