i tried to do that hey, i chose that in the dialogue option but halfway up to the gate, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing goes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and starts attacking...

Whenever the botching starts throwing tantrums in the Baron's arms, the Baron will tell you that the botchling is going out of control. That's when you need to move close to it and cast Axii on it to prevent it from transforming.

ohhhhhh.... i was wondering why the bestiary said use axii on it cos after it turns, axii does absolutely ♥♥♥♥ all to it hahahaaa

thanks for the tip, i mustve missed that dialogue or something.

ok, so i need to cast axii when it starts spacking out... will that stop the wraiths appearing?

The wraiths will appear regardless. Focus first on making sure the botchling doesn't transform, and then deal with the wraiths. Use specter oil and Thunderbolt potion together for increased damage against the wraiths.
