Saving Philip Strenger *SPOILERS*
I just finished the Bloody Baron questline.
When I started it, I thought this guy was the typical fat and drunk nobleman but as the story progressed I realized he really felt regret for his past and wanted a second chance with his family. I even began to feel a certain affection for that character.
When I came to Crows Perch and saw him hanged in a tree I felt sad.

I wonder if is there any way to save Anna and therefore avoid the suicide of the baron.

I think my mistake was to save the spirit under de tree in a previous quest, maybe if I wasn't save the spirit it wouldn't have saved the children and therefore the ladies of the wood would't have cursed Anna.

PS: Sorry for any lexical or grammatical mistake, english is not my native language.

Oh god, I had no idea that could even happen.

I saved Strenger on my first runthrough, but that was a while ago so the details are a little fuzzy. I'll try to recall what I did though, because I felt really bad for him too.

I can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure that I did kill the spirit under the tree so you might be right about that being the "wrong move" so to speak because I got a WAY better ending for him he took his wife up into the mountains so they could start fresh and he wouldn't be tempted to drink. I don't remember if the daughter went with them or not.

pretty much trade off is children dies for the price of baron and his wifes life.
On a side note, how did you feel about Tamara joining Eternal Fire?
