Did you spare Village Massarce Witcher Cat School or killed him?
I spared him personally and didn't know about the reward, feels good man. Update: Checked out his stash. Lvl 25 Witcher Steel Sword, feels good man. 10% Bleeding 10% Critical Chance , 3 Runestone slots. Same dmg as Ursine.

Yeah I spared him too. His story of betrayal seemed to add up and I didn't wanna kill a witcher lol. I also spared Letho.

Ooo What quest is Letho? is he the dude in the W2 Opening where he ice potions the entire ship then kills everyone including the king on it?

Yeah he is the muscle neck witcher in the witcher 2 intro scene. By the way that is my favorite opening scene for any video game ever its so epic! but yeah at the end of witcher 2 you can fight him to the death or spare him and you can bring the save file over to the witcher 3 and he is in the game!!! its so cool man

I killed the crap out of him. If he had killed the two villagers who attacked him, it would have been justifiable as self-defense, but any sympathy I had for him went out the window when he went on to kill everyone who had nothing to do with the attack on him. What's more is that depending on how you go through the conversation with him he can imply that it's not the first time he's done it. He was a rabid dog.

I spared him. Geralt didn't get the moniker The Butcher of Blaviken for nothing after all. He's been there. Not quite as bad as Gaetan (Cat school witcher) but he understands full well how easy it is to lose your head when those around you betray and try to kill you.

In Blaviken, Geralt slew Renfri's bandits, as well as Renfri herself, in order to save the lives of innocent villagers. However, to the general populace, it looked like Geralt attacked them for no reason as no one knew of Renfri's plans.
It's not even remotely the same situation. The Butcher of Blaviken incident was closer to what happens in White Orchard near the beginning of the game.

I got a lousy sword, white color rarity by killing him. How did you get his witcher sword?

Stash when he tells you. Lvl 25 Witcher Gear Steel Sword But not part of a set. 10% crit chance. 25% bleeding, 15% aard - 3 Runestone slots. Name is called Teigr. Plain boring sword like a novigard sword when it comes to looks though.

This is correct. I did have it fail to drop once, so the drop rate doesn't seem to be 100%. It did drop after I reloaded the save, however.

I shoved my sword into his chest.
