[SPOILERS] Is Triss more faithful to Geralt than Yennefer ever was?
Aside from using magic to sleep with Geralt after his quarrel with Yennefer that night, Triss has repeatedly thrown herself at him - wanting him badly both physically and emotionally. FYI, I have a special hatred for cheaters, Geralt himself included.

Right now I'm in Novagrad (level 12) hanging out with Triss after meeting her at Putrid Grove. I've read many discussions and debates for the Witcher 1 & 2 on who, hypothetically, is a better match for Geralt. I can't stand the fact that Yennefer would screw other men if we were physically apart but still together as couple.

Like I said before, Triss just seems like someone who would manage to be a lot more loyal to Geralt than Yen ever was. -cough- Screwing the old sorcerer friend in the morning -cough-. I even turned town Keira during the romantic dinner for crying out loud! Personally I've made up my mind, but can anyone convince me otherwise? I do find Yennefer more physically attractive than Triss. I know that all three of them are flawed, that they aren't "black or white".

Edit: Loyalty and faithfulness are very important to me. I've had bad experiences with women in the past.

I want to shut off all external sources and just focus on the Yen in the current game.

Great idea in general imo. Wouldve even been better not to ask question just play game and see ;)
You know where I got horrible feeling from? ChristopherOdd (a youtuber) was doing walkthrough. I was going through his old videos and wanted to see how he handled Keira - fun fact: I killed Keira at Fyke Isle because she was being too shady and also because she used me so I got pissed.
When he was commentating at their romantic dinner scene and Keira ask Geralt if they wanted to have sex already, the yellow options came up and the youtuber said out loud, "Uh... it's not serious, Yennefer would do the same." He chose to ♥♥♥♥ Keira because he said "Yennefer will do the same, it's not serious" - My heart broke after that. So I went online trying to find all the information about cheating and what not.

Books all over about sorceress infidelity. Witcher games not so much at all.

One last question: if you were to go all out for Yennefer in Wild Hunt and only her, will she ever cheat on you with other men until the end of the game? I know that she IS the "perfect" fit for Geralt, the books were written that way, so were the 3 games.
The first commentator said above that Yen doesn't like sharing Geralt. If that's the case can you confirm that if I were to only stick with Yen until the end, she will do the same for me? By the end I mean the end of Wild Hunt AND the 2 expansions. Thanks a ton.

There is a short story called A Shard of Ice. In it, Yen and Geralt head off to handle something but Yen has another plan in mind. At the city where they are staying, Geralt is uneasy and wants to leave but Yen insists on remaining. Why? Because she's been carrying on an affair with a mage for some years now and he's in that city. She's sleeping with him by day and returning to Geralt at night. All the while he's wondering if she could ever truly love him because he's a mutant.

Eventually both men learn of each other, mostly due to Yen making sure of it. She encourages them to fight for her since she claims to be incapable of choosing between them. The mage challenges Geralt to fight to the death over Yen. Geralt refuses. They both come to realize that neither can live without her and so suicide becomes tempting. That's when Yen finally steps in to break it up and chooses Geralt. Only when it no longer was any fun to watch them broken and torn between her.

She's like a child, picking up a toy and playing with it when she feels like it and then tossing it aside when she's bored with it.

As for the game, no she won't cheat on Geralt at any point during the game but is that really a deciding factor for you? Not how she's treated him all along or how she continues to treat him?

That there is this claim of them being perfect for each other is absolutely ludicrous. These aren't star-crossed lovers. Both have had plenty of other partners yet Yen typically does not seem capable of having any sort of relationship with a man unless she can control them with magic. That's some insecurity there. But she also seems to relish putting people in awkward positions simply because she can. She takes great pleasure in doing whatever she wants, never caring for how it will affect anyone else and that's most assuredly true for Geralt.

Perfect for each other? Yes, if you admit that one is a masochist and the other a sadist. That one is controlling and the other submissive. And yet once the dijnn's spell was removed and Yen removed her control over him as well, because she genuinely wanted to know if he really loved her without the magic, funny how even the devs allowed the player the option of breaking it off with her by saying that the "magic is gone" and he no longer feels anything for her.

Yen has used plenty of men in the past and that she does not at any point during the last game (she is only in the last game), does not mean she won't do it again in the future if it suits her purposes. Sorceresses use men. They use everyone and anyone to get what they want.

It isn't so much that Yen expects Geralt to be faitlhful to her. She knows fully well that not even he expects that from her. The thing with Triss was different. She's a close friend of Yen's and as such, she was not about to share Geralt with her but notice how she doesn't place any blame for what happened between them on Triss. No, she blames Geralt completely for it. Why? Because she is a sorceress and knows fully well what Triss is capable of. She's done no less herself on numerous occasions. So why blame Geralt? Because she can and she knows she can get away with it, however unfair it is.

1. They didn't go to Vengerberg to ''handle something'' and then have a sudden change of plans, Yen went there only to cut loose ends with Istredd PROVEN that Geralt is able to profess his love for her in words, not just thoughts. Now Geralt still thought he was nothing but a mutant, and that saying those words would be empty, like knocking on a skull (or something like that, can't remember exactly how it was written.) So he doesn't tell her those words, and she has to create a second kestrel for Geralt (The first one was for ISTREDD, because while he loved her, she didn't love him, had nothing for him in return meanwhile she loved Geralt, but he failed to profess his love for her) She's NOT toying with them, THEY are giving her a hard time choosing between them (well, Geralt does.)

2. The djinn's quest was ONLY for those who picked Triss as their romance, because the quest didn't make any sense, Geralt didn't ask the djinn to love her forever or anything like that, he told him to bind their fates so they would always return to each other (like when hunting the dragon, or the Belleteyn part in the books). The wish WASN'T of love, but BECAUSE of love. She didn't have ANY control of him LMFAO, that is the most stupid thing I've ever read.

3. The amnesia excuse is not really an excuse, if Geralt wanted to recover his memory fast, he'd have done so much quicker than until the ending of The Witcher 2.

You've clearly only read those part of the books, which you wanted. Either that, or you've read them all, yet your underdeveloped brain failed to comprehend them, seeing as you're keeping watch of The Witcher 3 forum in case any romance threads come up, only to barge in and start spreading your pathetic lies and false information. You don't know jack about The Witcher games nor The Witcher books, or it might just be that you had no luck with ladies in your life? Either way, I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince a stubborn fool like you. And before (if) you start bit**ing that the games are fanfiction, no they are not, there are two Witcher universes, first universe is BOOKS (Sapkowski's work) and the second is BOOKS + GAMES (Sapkowski's work + CDProjekt Red's work.)

For Geralt it ALWAYS was, IS and ALWAYS will be Yen, and it's the SAME the other way around. Haters can hate ALL they want, but they will change nothing. *SPOILER*

The game's ending, if you chose Yennefer, only proves that, as the narrator (old Dandelion) says, they moved away from politics and other unimporant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to live in a calm, quiet and peaceful place, instead of moving to Kovir with the power-hungry traitor named Triss. Yennefer can give Geralt all he wants and needs. And the Blood and Wine ending wonderfully ties in with the main game's ending, where Yennefer realizes she has no goals, so she comes to her love, Geralt, to finally find peace in life, in a nice little vineyard. She is very relaxed in this ending, because there is no work to be done anymore (unlike during The Wild Hunt) and the can finally peacefully enjoy her life with Geralt.

Actually I wonder where it's spelled out *exactly* what Geralt asked from djinn third time because in first two short story books it's just not there (which itself's beauty of that :) Maybe because I read English translations only...
