don't know, are you bypassing the gog client? does the gog client register you as "playing witcher 3"?
i could, and that's what i've done over the last 50 or so hours of playing through the start of the witcher 3, over the several times i've had to start again. I'd like to get the achievements, while also being able to play with my steam controller.
yeah, i've added TW3 to steam as a non steam but it's just the main .exe, i'll have a look now to see if GoG recognises that i'm playing it, if i launch straight from steam.
if its just the .exe it very likely bypasses the gog client, therefore no function from the gog client will be present in the game by that point.
yeah, GoG isn't picking it up, i'll see if i can go the long way around and launch GoG through steam, set up my controller, and then launch witcher 3 through GoG for the best of both worlds. xD
it's not so much the prompts i need, it's just the customisation of the controller that i need. Like i have my left grip set to quicksave, right track pad to be mouse input, just nice QoL things that make playing on a controller more pleasant. I'll head over there and see what i can do, i think launching GoG galaxy through steam, and then launching witcher from there might be my best bet though.
he doesn't own the game on steam.
Launching GoG through steam, and then witcher through GoG seems to work, won't know if i get any achievements that way for a while, but it did add some more time to my overall GoG playtime. Either way, i'm happy with doing it this way, it seems like it should work, and i've got my controls set up to work this way too. But thanks again for the help. :)
You have completely missed the point of this thread. Your first reply to the OP did not address anything the OP was asking about.
Interesting, so i might have been able to just play the game normally, and then load it up through GoG to register the achievements I got? That's quite handy, I might end up doing that th, it sounds much cleaner. :)
