Is NG+ worth trying?
I like the sense of getting better gear over time and the feel of progressing. Will NG+ ruin that? Do i have so strong weapons so things get easy? Does weapons found in start of the game get any stronger?

Short answer - no, it is not worth trying.

Long answer - how NG+ works is this - you use savefile with character that has completed main story once. The actual level of that characater is used to upscale EVRYTHING. Suppose you had level 40 character, your character starts the game as level 40, instead of level 1 quests, items and enemies, they are all scaled up by 40 levels. The level 10 quests in normal game are now 10+40=level 50. Same way, all the items, armor, swords etc. You will be able to craft Witcher sets again, and they all get 40 levels higher too.

You will keep all your money and skillpoints so there is no challenge in gathering anything and getting enough gold or raising level to unlock new skills in NG+. You have all the skills probably unlocked and you have enough gold to buy whatever you want.

Thing is, at level 10 fighting level 15 enemy can be challenging. At level 50 fighting level 55 enemy is really pretty much same as fighting level 50 enemy.

So everything gets brutally hard?

But if i read it right, you don't lose the sense of progression, since the weapons scale with my level, so it will be as rewarding finding new weapons?

Hard? No, it gets much easier.

Your character will not start at level 1, it will remain at whatever level you were when you finished the story. You will have your end-game armor, weapons and skills too. And then you go fight those poor nekkers or bandits at the start of the game who do have higher level but are designed to be challenging to someone without any gear or skills.

Yes you will still level up and keep finding new gear with higher stats. Just that level 52 sword is not THAT much better compared to level 51 sword you already may have. One does 5271 damage, other does 5275. Worth upgrading?

Dude have you finished game at all?! You'd know loot pretty much sucks in TW3 throughout. Unless you're into cosmetics you'll only really want witcher gear because by and large it trumps everything.

So i should give NG+ a try?

And what difficulty? I played NG on normal (story and sword i believe), and i think the difficulty was all right. How is death march?

The whole difficulty system (or combat for that matter) is a joke anyway, very easy even on hardest difficulty with upscalling, no matter if it'sfirst run or NG+ so I'd say if you're one of the few unexperienced people who find the game somewhat difficult, then NG+ will be a small step forwards. But overall I'd say it's not worth it, might as well start over a new game.
Too fat.

Pretty much all NG+ does is to show you bigger numbers. Higher levels. More damage. But it is still same thing. There is nothing actually different in NG+.

I always suggest to play this game on normal difficulty (Story and the Sword). It is not really a game about endless tough combat where you die and try and learn enemy moves. No, this is mostly about the story and characters and the world they live in. Fighting is alright but nothing impossibly difficult.

Higher difficulties just make the battles longer. Enemies have more HP so you have to hit them more times. They also hit you harder but you should be dodging away and use the Quen shield anyway so you should pretty much never be damaged. Now if you just consider something is more fun and more interesting because it last for longer, sure, increase difficulty. I only did it for the achievements.

It makes early game Death march easier, other than that it's pretty much the same.
Nice if you wish to keep nice pieces of armor like the ones from the tourney in Beauclair.

Folks told me it isn't worth trying but I tried it anyway, and I like it. I don't spend time looting and harvesting, don't have to find alchemy components, don't worry about constantly upgrading my gear, my aerondight keeps getting beter and better. I can just enjoy the story, the scenery, and practice making Geralt look badass in big fights.

THIS. Plus if you have the GOTY version with Blood and Wine, the mutagen tree is cool to play around with.
