Wild at heart werewolf insane hp regen....
Wtf is up with that? Slashing away at him down to 40% hp, suddenly activates hp regen by growling or whatever and its back to full health and I can't bring its hp back down because it just keeps regenerating, wtf!? How do you kill this thing!? This fight is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

You're probably just not ready for it. You need a decent sword, cursed oil and a moon dust bomb. If you don't have the moon dust bomb crafted then leave the werewolf and return when you have it.

Why should an item be needed in order to kill it? It shouldn't have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ regenerating health to the point where its outhealing everything, that's such a cheap and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic to put in. Artificial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficulty.

It's part of the lore of many werewolves that they can regenerate their health. It's certainly the lore in this game. You could have found this out if you just read your bestiary. Potions and oils are part of the mechanics of the game so stop crying and either craft a moon dust or continue cracking your head into walls.

I don't have the recipe for the moon dust and like I said why should I be forced to use an item in order to beat this monster? I did read the bestiary and there's nothing that says I had to use this, lore says that werewolves are weak to silver so why the ♥♥♥♥ then is it able to outheal geralt and his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ silver sword!? Doesn't make any sense.

I actually had the same problem. The solution is simply to level up once or twice. The increase in your DPS should be enough to outdamage it. No potions or bombs needed.

I'm level 8, quest level is 7, I've even used the potion that lowers the level requirement for items by 2 so I can have level 10 gear and it still outheals my dps, its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It is really dumb, I think I did that quest at like level 15 and still struggled with it. I didn't use any potions or bombs but yeah I was level 15. I just ate a ton of food and kept hitting it without letting it heal.

I had to change the difficulty to easy and even then, I only killed him because I put him in axii and then threw 2 dragons dream bombs at him. The quest wasn't even worth finishing in the end...

If you're against using items to finish quests, specifically certain ones, you're going to strongly dislike this game.

This series has always been about preparation, and this is arguably the easiest of the 3.

What other enemies are impossible to kill without certain items? Because only one I've heard of is the werewolf. There's also a difference between preperation and blatant cheesy mechanics.

use igni. it doesn't heal when on fire, if i remember... others that are impossible to kill without actually preparing heavilly? pretty much any monster more than 5 levels above you besides drowners and ghouls.

this ain't a hack and slash game...
Revan Apr 5, 2017 @ 12:38pm
its the one by the tree right? i had problems with that one too at first.... igni, fast attacks.

not sure about moon dust, i think that is for vampires and not werewolves...

i might have forgotten a bit though, haven't played in a year.
Revan Apr 5, 2017 @ 12:47pm
nvm did a bit of reading up, moon dust blocks the regeneration. igni stuns and slows the regen (by causing damage)

It does heal when its on fire... I've never had any problem with mobs higher levels than me and I'm on second hardest difficulty. No ♥♥♥♥ its not a hack and slash yet this enemy throws the whole play cautiously mentality that you've been trained for several hours out of the window and punishes you for not being aggressive enough. I'm talking about the werewolf inside the cave, the logic the devs used is that moondust bomb blocks werewolves regen because of the silver but if so then why doesn't geralts Silver sword to the same thing?

I used a combination of Igni as soon as he started to regen his health then beat him over the head and repeat that process.

And i was lvl 9 at the time.
