Question about the Gathering allies achievement.
I'm getting to the point where you're supposed to choose decide if you want Triss or not, and in this playthrough i want to go with Yen.

Will i still get the Allies achievement even if i don't Romance triss? Will she even go to Kaer Morhen?
I've seen a-lot of debates about this, some say she doesn't even arrive at kaer morhen, others say she arrives but not as an NPC but just there for the battle so you can't interact with her.

What's the actual conclusion?

You basically only needs to convince keira metz. Triss will be there. Nobody said you had to sex her to get the achievement.

When the "Brothers In Arms" sidequest pops up, just convince everyone.

So even if i let her be tortured and help dijkstra find his treasure, and then not romance triss, she will still come to Kaer Morhen, and be interactable?

Yes, it's scripted. She will always appear at Kaer Morhen.

Alright thanks, i decided to let her be tortured but not ask about the treasure.
I've read that you don't need Dijstras help to get the "full crew" achievment, is that true?

Edited: Just checked and verified: Dijkstra is not needed for Full Crew since he won't come to Kaer Morhen regardless of whatever you do to him. If you break his leg, he won't offer any help whatsoever. But even if you end on amicable terms with him, he won't go either way. He'll offer you some resources but that's about it.

Bottom line is this: if you let her get tortured and ask about the treasure, Dijkstra is happier because at least he's got a shot of getting his treasure back. And you will still find out where Dandelion is by searching Menge's office.

What's really important here is that you not fast travel out of the area once you jump the wall and leave after the quest. A cutscene is triggered by exiting the area through the archway. You'll meet up with Dijkstra, tell him what you've learned, give him the bank vault key and later trigger Reason of State. If you don't do this, you may bug the quest and never get the cutscene.

Triss is a tough girl. Let her get her fingernails ripped out. Ask about the treasure so you can trigger the rest of the quest.

As for the Full Crew achievement, you need:

Velen: Letho, if he is in your game. And Keira. You must have done all of her quests and not argued with her (which leads to a fight where she's killed). You must convince her to go to Kaer Morhen instead of her fool idea of trying to strike a bargain for her life with Radovid. It will not end well for her if she does.

Novigrad: Vernon Roche and Ves. You must do his quest for him including An Eye for An Eye. Then just ask him and they both will go to Kaer Morhen. Zoltan, he's a buddy. Just ask he'll come. Triss is scripted and will appear regardless. But you should do Now or Never too. Doesn't matter if you choose to romance her or not. Just do the quest. Let her go and she will return.

Skellige: Ask whoever is ruler. If you helped one to become ruler, ask them. If Cerys is ruler, she will not be able to go herself, but will offer the services of her brother, Hjalmar instead. If when you did his quest, Lord of Undvik, you also rescued his two friends, Folan and Vigi, they turn up with him at Kaer Morhen. If Hjalmar is ruler, he'll drop everything and go to Kaer Morhen for you. Also ask Crach an Craite. He won't be able to go but he'll offer you a really mediocre family sword instead. Whoopee! Also be sure to ask Ermion. He'll gladly turn up and help.

Nilfgaard: You need to go Vizima and speak with Emhyr. He'll offer to send troops but insists that they be commanded by Morvran Voorhis. Geralt will balk at the offer and refuse. But you will get credit for having asked for help.

And that's all that you need for the Full Crew Achievement.

Thanks!

I'm really torn between choosing Yen or Triss.

I picked Triss on my first playthrough, and even though i said i'd pick Yen this time, i'm still leaning towards Triss again, i can't shrug the "Cold ♥♥♥♥♥" feeling i'm getting out of Yen.

Both Triss and Yen are manipulative b!tches. The only way they can get men to sleep with them is by casting spells on them. Do yourself a favor and avoid both like the plague.

Triss used Geralt like hell during the first two games. She had thrown herself before at him when he and Yen had broken up. He told her at that time he had zero interest in sleeping with her because he saw her only as a friend. This despite the fact that she had betrayed Yen, Geralt and Ciri to the Lodge before just to save her own skin. But these folks apparently have a very odd definition of "friend".

At any rate, while he had amnesia and no recollection whatsoever of Yen or Ciri, Triss took it upon herself to cast a spell on Geralt and cause him to believe that they'd always been lovers. Meanwhile she promised repeatedly to help him regain his memories, even though she did absolutely nothing to that end. Not even mentioning Yen or Ciri to him once. She even tried to use the Rose of Remembrance to bind his love to her forever.

Yeah, she's a sweetheart. Yen is no better. Go visit a brothel. At least there you get what you pay for, no mind games and no B.S.

The choice that's up to me is either pick one of these horrible women or be alone, i'd rather geralt not be left to be alone and pick one of them, but i can't seem to decide which one is the lesser evil option - using geralts words.

Geralt is a stud. He won't be left alone for long. Think of it this way. All the time he's wasted with Yen and Triss, he could have found someone far better. With both out of the way, who knows who he might find.

Well i dunno about Triss, but Yennefer is surely gonna die alone if Geralt leaves her.
She's already over a century old, and while common folk appreciate her (fake) beauty , not a single person around aside from maybe the remaining lads in Kahr Morhen like her persolanity.

Triss is 30ish, attractive, and although obviously manipulative and prone to lying, is still rather sweet and has plenty of time to get wooed by someone else,

Geralt is indeed a stud, but not plenty of women around worth him honesntly , and it does seem like Witcher and mages are fit toghether, both live long lives , sterile and feared.
Can't imagine Geralt marrying someone younger than him, just for her to die of old age before him.

No, no matter how bad the choice is for our geralt, it sadly has to be Either Triss Or Yen.

As it stands i see it as such, Geralt would go for Yen, it's pretty much a canon choice.

Though "ME" as in the player, in his shoes would most likely go for Triss.
If not for idealist reasons, then for shallow reasons, at best you can say that Triss and Yen are equally ♥♥♥♥♥♥, so Triss being younger, and an actual natural beauty ( Since it's been said that all mages look beautiful thanks to spells, while Triss is simply young and actually born pretty).
She also does seem to have a softer attitude, regardless of her being quite the ♥♥♥♥♥ as-well.

Tough decisions..

If you remember first time Geralt chose 'lesser evil' six people died and he got nickname butcher of Blaviken so sometimes such choices might require refusing to weigh evilness or going outside box... ;)
