Report a translation problem
The reason why i believe it to be a bug is because i ocasionally see (or notice) npcs not being rendered when they should be, and i think this is a case of an NPC that should not be there, but it is because of a quest you will do in that part later for the pellar, and she is not being rendered, so the moment you get there, you get into combat, and just like any other civilian when you go into combat mode next to them, they scream for help.
edit, in my case i believe it was a women scream, but i could be wrong.
Gotta give you credit here, if that bugs the quest it's definietly something to complain about
