Missing books??

Hey I just got the game to test out my new computer and I'm having an issue. I am in white ochard and I got some documents in a chest under a bridge. But when I open my quest books panel the only one there is the yellowed diary from the noonwraith quest.....I tried reloading previous saves and its all the same....Do I have to start again or am I missing something?

There's a lot of books that don't show up in the quest items section but they usually show up in the "Other" section (right next to quest items), because not all books are quest related. But if they're not there, go to the in game menu (Enter key), select Glossary, and then select Books. There you will find EVERY book or map you ever picked up or bought, along with every legible note and letter you plucked off a corpse or found anywhere in the game.

OK I found them. Thanks alot for your help and quick answers. I got hung up thinking they went into the glossary when you picked them up. Didn't realize you had to read them first.....makes sense.
