Disappearing Gwent cards

So I started NG+ and upon doing that all of my gwent cards are gone. I have 0 cards in my card collection and vendors aren't selling any so I can't get a complete deck of gwent cards to play with.
Any solution?
I've considered getting a mod so that I can start collecting cards again but I don't think there are any such mods supporting 1.31.

It's intentional. The game doesn't want you to have all the cards collected when starting a new game, because what's the point to play gwent with all opponents again when you have everything unlocked.

But I can't collect _any_ cards because I can't duel _anyone_ due to not having _any_ cards at all.

Hm... Not sure actually, I picked up my current game after having about a year downtime and it was after the prologue so I might have missed it ^^

Well ♥♥♥♥... Appears to be bugged... I bought cards through the mod but no new cards were added. They appear to be "gone" and yet still in my posession but I can't use them.

you must have to get the starter deck first. there is probably a console command to activate that quest reward somewhere out there

Where exactly is this NPC? Because I've checked the Inn at Woesong Bridge but there are no NPCs in there which I can interact with.

I can also note that I have the quest for playing against Innkeepers (Gwent: Playing Inkeeps) and against Velen players.

I also just noticed this issue persists through earlier pre-NG+ saves too. Attempting to reinstall game.

I thought there're no starting cards at all but you get them from NPC you talk to about Gwent :o Wonder whether he's gone if fight breaks out in that inn...

A reinstall did not solve it... The cards are still missing in both pre-NG+ and NG+ even though I've had cards before.
0 cards.
I've also opened a ticket with CDPR in hope that they can help.
