Is Dandelion based on the Watership Down Dandelion?
I realized recently that Dandelion in Watership Down shares some similarities with Dandelion from The Witcher. Does anyone know if he was actually based on that concept?

I dont even know that story, but from my knowledge the actually Polish name for Dandelion was translated to buttercup, but the game devs decided to change it to make him appear more manly.
Edit: Jaskier is the word . . . .

ROFL, Dandelion isnt really manly either IMO.... its equally as bad.

Buttercup was already coined for hero more precisely heroine in 1973 by W. Goldman so translator didnt have much choice in whether to keep it...
