Faithful Friend Quest

Just finished my 2nd game, shame I got bad ending. But that's not the problem since I wanted to know the other ending *I got good ending in my 1st game

So, I searched google about this 'faithful friend' quest, but no answer that satisfying, I'm still struggling to start the quest

The quest said I have to catch the horse, and as I watched on youtube, I have to talk with a soldier near the horse before I catch it

my problem is, there is no soldier there, just the horse. In that case, I can't start the quest

You must be missing the cutscene where you see the soldier being thrown off the horse. If that's the case, then your save is bugged. Try reloading an earlier autosave or checkpoint.

Then I have to restart fighting wild hunt. dammit.

There was no autosave between war preparation 'till back to white orchard

I don't even know if it can be set lol
it's fine now, just restarted the war and completed the quest

2021 and the same thing happened to me, lol had to redo last 20min
