Oil on sword?
I'm new to The Witcher series and I just finished the 'Wolf King' segment playing as Ciri.
After that the game tells me to open my inventory and says to drag an oil onto my sword slot. To me that means drag it literally onto the sword, but I can't do that. I just get a red X when I try.

I can equip it in a usable item slot, but I don't know if that's the same thing or not...

Any help is appreciated. :steamhappy:

Some oils like necrophage oil are for monsters only so you cant oil the steel blade with them only the silver one. Im not sure but I think beast oil and hanged man's venom are just for the steel sword cause they're not monsters.

Hanged Man and Beast Oil can be used on your Steel Sword

LOL... ummm.. thanks for the information, guys. :D

But it appears that I'm a dumbass. It wasn't an oil, it was a potion. Apparently I wasn't reading the description and was just assuming the game was pointing me in the right direction when it told me to open my inventory. I guess it just meant to tell me how to do it, not that I could do it.

11 hours in the game so far and I still feel completely noob...
