Witcher lore; glowing eyes
Im bored, and the forum fill with stuck up kids comparing or downgrading games, so might as well talk lore and the game.

What with the cat and glowing eyes?
Witcher do not see in the dark, as they utilize Cat potion.
So why the eyes? Anyone know and willing to share the lore?

In the books the Witchers do see in the dark better than humans because of their cat like eyes. Potions helped to enhance their abilities they already had through thier mutations.

I think that's because of physics. The cat's eye can see better in darkness as it uses light reflected many times (or at least one time but amplified nice). However, if there are no proper light sources, no eye can help to see things. That's why i always take the lantern / a torch in deep caves and the like.

It's just kind of annoying because I probably use cat and sweet honey more than anything. Wouldn't be a big deal but it takes up two of my quick item slots and also sweet honey cancels out my decoctions. So it's just irksome.

i rarely use Cat due to i cannot see the color. But if the level are to dark, i will pop the potion. Also when you level up ur toxicity level, you can really bottom up most of the potion, which is really helpfull when figthing enemy which is 10 more level than you.
Btw, i like to think that the eyes is smthing as a Witcher sense, like you can see details of an object or time kinna slow down a bit when your figthing.

Yeah, connecting the eyes to the witcher sense isn't a bad thought. Kinda works.

In books G can control pupil size at will eg he could fake getting blinded by sun. Dunno what eye color gives him though except constant suspicion from others :P

I suggest yous up the brightness on your monitors, because I personally never had any issues seeing in dark areas without the superior cat potion.

Cats and dogs see less colour than humans. If witchers have cat-like eyes, should they too not also have limited colour vision?
