Failed gangs of novigrad

So I finished the main story quest get Junior and got the message I failed gangs of novigrad.
Did I miss anything important? Should I go back and do it before or just not bother
In short; what'd I miss out on

Most people fail that quest actually. I did too even though I tried to avoid failing it.

I believe you'll need to talk to Carver first. He'll task you with raiding Junior's 3 hideouts with his goons. If you visited any of the 3 on your own you'll probably fail.

As far as i know, you are supposed to make a choice on how you are going to find junior, either you get help from cleaver, or you find junior on your own, if you do it on your own, it will fail the gangs of novigrad mission
And i believe (though i never tried it) that you can fail the find junior one if you do it the gangs of novigrad, i'm not sure though, anyway but i think the game is pretty explicity in the the fact that you are supposed to make a choice in how you are going to find junior.

regardless though failing that mission is irrelevant, the game does not keep track of failed/complete mission in relation to any score or achievement, so unless you care about the fact that now in your jornal there is a "failed" mission in there, it shouldn't matter at all.

There are multiple paths here. Failing Gangs of Novigrad will go down a path not available if you complete the quest, so...just keep playing and make different decisions on subsequent playthroughs.
