Need help. Closed door in elven ruins.

So i started a new game in the Blood and Wine DLC. Do I assume right that it does not include extra ability points? Because all playes of power seem to be undiscovered.

So i want back in to the previous ares and collected some places of power.

Now there is one at inside the even ruins near lake something. I know how to get in there but there is a closed door with a whirl sign on the map.

I have read that I am going there as part of a (main?) quest. Since I have cut the main story from my save can I still reach it?

you mean the even ruins in velen with a bunch of portals in it? yeah you can go back to that place, there is a river near it with a boat next to it, the back door entrance is masked by an ilusion.

Some places of power are only accessible through the main story. There's one cave in Skellige and one in Velen. The swirly thing is a portal.

That one near the lake in Velen is only accessible in the quest with Keira Metz if you help her get past the room with the elven statue riddle and retrieve the lamp. If you do not do that (which you will not do if you start the DLC from the main menu) then you can't reach that place of power.

Well I kind if regret not looking for my old save in my backups. I baught the Blood and wine DLC (gog.com) long time after i last touched witcher 3 and aport form not having that save at hand I kind if wanted to have a balanced "new" start without new game plus overpower. But turned out it went back colleting all kinds of stuff, even colleting tons of money for runewright to then find out he is not really that usefull. I ended blood and wine now and I have probably spend 200 hours on w3 in total now. The DLC starts should assume more, all the potions, all the decotions and armors .... you all have to redo it. Spend 29h on that DLC and not even completed all the quests.

I just watched all endings on youtube and I think I am really done with that game. Played the last part on death march because my fast attack tank build was so easy ...

I think I should just leave witcher be now ;)
