With the crowdfunding campaign launching soon, I’m thrilled to announce that the largest update yet for the Gravewatch demo is now live! I’ve taken your feedback to heart and made major improvements to gameplay, visuals, and performance to give you a better look at how Gravewatch is shaping up.

Here’s everything that’s new:

Manual healing is gone! Health now regenerates automatically when out of combat, making for a smoother, less frustrating experience. The old healing syringes have been replaced with Epinephrine Shots, which provide a temporary speed boost, perfect for quick getaways.

Death has never looked so… dramatic. I’ve added new death animations and enhanced several cutscenes to better reflect the tone and quality of the full game.

Multiple areas have been reworked using new assets, greatly improving visual consistency and the overall atmosphere. Expect a more immersive, cohesive, and unsettling world.

The world now feels heavier, darker, and more real thanks to volumetric fog and other environmental enhancements. These changes bring the atmosphere to a whole new level.

The User Interface and Journal system have received a major visual overhaul, making them cleaner, more readable, and more fitting with the game’s tone.

Performance has been slightly improved, and many bugs have been fixed thanks to your reports. The demo should now run smoother, especially on mid-range hardware.

This is the most polished version of the demo yet, and I can’t wait to hear what you think. Whether you’re returning or playing for the first time, now is the perfect time to jump in.

Hey everyone,

I’m sorry to announce that Gravewatch is being delayed to 2026.

This wasn’t an easy decision. As a solo developer, I’ve been funding the game out of pocket using my disability pension. That’s helped keep the project alive, but my resources have run completely dry. Without that final bit of funding, I can’t meet the original release window. I’ve also been dealing with recurring health issues, which have pushed development back even further.

That said, interest in Gravewatch continues to grow, and I want to deliver the experience this game truly deserves.

To help make that happen, I’ll be launching a crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit starting September 29. The more we raise, the sooner I can finish the game without cutting corners.
