I looked through the spells, they are not quite as interesting as concelhauts doom hammer. Not sure if it would actually help going against Kaoto.
Huh... I thought having the option to transfer your saves over to the second game would affect those encounters in Deadfire.
I think my character will likely make a pact. Llengrath doesn't strike me as particularly evil, a little condescending perhaps but her goal is mostly to keep the knowledge of Concelhauts dark magic hidden from the rest of the world with good reason. Killing her felt good but the rewards were not quite as useful seeing as how I have maxxed out everything for most of my party members. You also get a couple of bog dragon scales as part of the deal with making the pact.
Oooh can you recruit her and the dragons for the Yen Wood army???
Unfortunately killing him doesn't stop his information from getting out, as he comes back in the second game and can never truly be killed.
Äh Mental and Physical Shield makes you immune against every status alignment.
Well I have already moved on to the sequel. Problem is that I did this quest towards the end of White Marsh part 2 so there wasn't a lot of places it would actually be of much use and am already overpowered for the final showdown in the base game. I literally manhandled Thaos with auto attacks on my first try.
