Stronghold visitors
Several times now ive gotten a message that i have a visitor at my stronghold. Cool! The problem is, i usually am -not- at the stronghold (we are adventurers, afterall) when i get this news. So what does one do? Travel to the stronghold!

So what happens? By the time i arrive, the visitor has left. Would it be possible to extend the time visitors stay at my stronghold to at least 2-3 days so i can get there in time?

(it might also be possible that a visitor arrives during the first hour of a 1 day trip somewhere, and then it might take another day to get back to my stronghold, so i think we need 2 days at the very least).

Just a suggestion.

Why do you need to go to your stronghold when you have a visitor? isn't all of the money provided by them automatically deposited somewhere?

I'm a bit lost on the Stronghold stuff. I uprade it fully, employ 7/8 hirelings that give prestige and security. Still don't know what a prestigeous visitor does. You get a merchant you can buy some fairly good gear at good prices(not the in house merchant - a traveling one), and do various quests up to Legendary. Don't know what kind of items they return with, but doesn't seem anything too stunning.

I do build the Botanical Gardens, that give random plants, and the other that gives animal bits quite early on.

And the Warden's Lodge! The bounty quests are very much worth it!

For sure.

The bounty quests are very much worth doing. Fun, Great Drops(on some), and great experience. Unfortunately, on PoTD - you got to be pretty high to do them. The very first one I got, was one of the hardest fights in the game, and the Vithrac one - I had to bait a couple out first.

Some of the messages are not accurate. I got one saying that bandits would attack in 6 days. I headed for the stronghold after 4 days on a 22 hour stretch. When I got there the bandits had attacked and gone.

The visits are just to provide you with a slight boost to defense and prestige, meeting them in person doesnt benefit you in any way

That seems to be to case. Options that visitors may give you can be handled from the Stronghold screen, wherever you may be physically.

Still, it would be interesting to be able to have an eye-to-eye chat with visitors. But perhaps that is something for future patches or expansions. Thanks for the replies, people.

some want an escort others take prestege away and can be baught off or you can assign a companion to keep a close eye on them I just buy them off myself. if it is an attack you ussually have normally about 4 days. when you make your daily money it always says how much badits take its different that attacks not sure what that is about and how bandits robed the stronghold.

This is an old thread but it's wrong so to be clear: regular Visitors will allow you to assign a companion in the Stronghold menu but Prestigious Visitors are supposed to wait in the throne room for a certain number of days... you go there and talk to them and sometimes they give you a side quest or other options depending on your allegiances and companions.

BUT sometime the Prestigious Visitors don't show up when the games says they do and there's literally nothing you can do... they'll just leave after the time expires and you won't actually lose prestige but lose the opportunity to gain more and/or items/coin.
