in cad nua? correct, unless you find the way back up the stairs. you dont have to jump down, youll reach it by progressing through the levels down the stairs anyway.

You have to get a favor from one of the gods in Twin Elms. Pray to the one of your choosing, do their quest, return and pray again and make the deal with them. Then you can descend into the pit safely.

That's not what the OP is asking. He's asking how you get back out.

It makes a hard "end-game" save.

So just load it back up and finish all your side content.

Once you are in Sun and Shadow, that's the end of the game.

Wow thanks. Luckily I had a save just before jumping in the pit. Now I can take my time and complete the other quests including finishing up the Endless Paths which I've only completed half of so far.

The game actually makes a save for you titled 'Pre-End Game' when you decide to jump into the put just for this reason. :D:
