I went for a Godlike Moon Chanter
Strenght - 18
Endurance - 12
Dex - 3 + 1(GL) this stat is completely useless for a chanter
Perception - 6 you could go with 10 in endurance and 8 perception as well but it is not all that needed you will get reflex from weapon and shield style at level 4 anyway
Intelligence - 18+1(GL)
Resolve - 18 +1(Ixamitl plains)
Chants:
1. Come come soft winds of death.
1. Blessed was Wengridh, Quickest in his tribe
2. any chant will do until you get to level 9
3. The dragon thrashed, the dragon wailed. This chant is INSANE what you do is you assign this chant to the left most chant in your quick bar then activate and deactivate it every second
Incantations:
1. But Reny Darets Ghost, he would not rest. - This is your main damage dealer until level 9
2. Trice she was wronged, and trice justly avenged. - Useful in some situations.
3. any incantation will do from that point on, but try to get all the summons.
Traits:
1. FAST RUNNER - extremely important trait for the chanter early game
2. Weapon and Shield style - Every solo or tank should get this early on.
3. Cautious Attack - Very useful for chanters since your minions will be dashing out the damage until you reach level 9 then you will be the main focus.
Is that good enought for the end boss? Because I could not beat him already in a group of 6 people.
I imagine with Fast Runner and Boots of speed you could just run away from the fight until you've chanted up enough summons!
But what do other people think? I was between sword-and-shield and two weapon, having arbitrarily ignored two-handed or single-weapon styles.
Thoughts?
The hardest part of the Chanter is getting to level 9, the rest is pretty easy.
The Last boss is not that hard you summon a creature in the start then run to a corner and use a summon that summons more than one creature and try to split up Thaos and his statues. Then you kill them one by one using tDTtDW. When facing Thaos make sure that you wait for him to target one of your summons with his insta kill spell before getting back into range spamming tDTtDW.
A shame though, as I was really more interested in soloing as a Rogue, Wizard, or Fighter. All three of which I'm sure are feasible, but I don't want to take any chances and I want to nail a whole slew of achievements on a solo PotD run.
