Clear out the room to the top-right. Then crowd everybody in and use the door as a bottleneck. It'll still be close, but at least you won't get reamed in like 5 seconds.

You can easily skip the second floor at least if you can pick the lock on the door.
I have yet to see a spectre self-revive in PoE, so I would suppose it's a bug. Is it reproducable? What happens of you reload a safe from before the lighthouse?
I had trouble with this as well. I came back as soon as I went up one level and beat the quest. Just do a few quests around Defiance Bay and come back. The nice thing about this game is it doesn't hold your hand on where to go next. I mean there are certain areas locked prior to completing certain missions, but by and large, you need to figure out what quests to tackle for your level. That's what I enjoy about it.
1) As mentioned above, you need to be aware that there are two different enemies that look the same. Shades and Shadows. Mouse over to see which is which. Shades can completely screw you as they summon Shadows which can quickly leave you overwhelmed. If you kill a Shade, the Shadow it summoned will die also.
2) Be aware that these enemies always like to screw you by teleporting behind your defensive lines and plan accordingly, sometimes putting some heavy armor on your squishies may be a good idea.
3) With all the teleporting going on, try to do your best to keep track of the enemies so that you don't spread yourself too thin. If you've brought an enemy down to its last health and it teleports somewhere else, try to keep track of it so you can finish it off instead of just going after a new enemy.
4) Target their weaknesses. I don't remember what defense they're weak against at the moment but try to target that one. I also seem to remember them being weak to fire.
5) Finally, consumables in this game can be extremely useful. It may well be worth it to craft a few good scrolls and use them up. Don't hoard items.
And yeah, if you still can't get it, return later when you've leveled up a bit. :) It's probably the hardest quest in Defiance Bay at least.
