I said that too when I first encountered them when my party was too low level and not powerful enough to defeat them. That's the beauty of this game. Come back later and wipe them off the map. They respawn at least once in that cave after the bounty. I ran into them the second time at level 12 and the fight was over in an instant.
NO! They can already instantly teleport, they don't need 300+ Endurance and 70+ Defenses.
Funnel them down into the chokepoint entrance and spam oil slick with Aloth!
I made a post about that battle. Took my level 10s about 20 goes to do that on PoTD, and I don't fancy trying it again. To be honest, can't believe I tried that long - think that would have been my last go. The one I won, was the first I ever beat more than the 2 Elder Bears.
The problem is that Ogres break the unofficial rule of the game that you just swarm everything with a few AoE burst spells and collect loot.
Plague of Insects, Malignant Cloud, Blinding frost = never casting druids
Remember in this game a GRAZE for a spell is still a hit, just shorter.
youre not going to have any of those spells when you can get to this lvl of Od Nua.....unless you want to wait for a LONG time to finish the Bard quest line...yeah....those Ogres are rope a dope.
