An enemy with a TON of hitpoints, impressive defenses and offensive stats AND a host of spells that can wreck you in moments...DAMN THEM.

I said that too when I first encountered them when my party was too low level and not powerful enough to defeat them. That's the beauty of this game. Come back later and wipe them off the map. They respawn at least once in that cave after the bounty. I ran into them the second time at level 12 and the fight was over in an instant.

I just ran into Nalrend of the bounty and two ODs and two Matrons are just too damn much, I JUST managed to beat them though, I have NO idea how as they completely WRECKED me the first time. Seriously, the enemy seems to score hits WAY more often than I do. "Oh I have a -43 to hit, I still roll a 90!"

NO! They can already instantly teleport, they don't need 300+ Endurance and 70+ Defenses.

The name Nalrend the Wise is appearing in my thoughts

At first they were a pain in the ass. Later on you will be able to slaughter them.

They are pretty nasty, because they cast Insect Swarm, which does Raw damage to pretty much the entire party. I Managed to beat them on Paths of the Damned with my summons taking most of the Insect Swarm damage. Aloth casting confusion on them helped too.

To be completely honest, im somewhat of a power gamer...and these Ogre Druids were the toughest fight you will encounter in a long long time....i had to reload quite a few times lol...they are really, really hard to interrupt and even one swarm getting off on you can wreck your day.

Funnel them down into the chokepoint entrance and spam oil slick with Aloth!

I made a post about that battle. Took my level 10s about 20 goes to do that on PoTD, and I don't fancy trying it again. To be honest, can't believe I tried that long - think that would have been my last go. The one I won, was the first I ever beat more than the 2 Elder Bears.

Ogres have low Will, Reflex, and Concentration. One or two DoT's will keep the druids from ever attacking.

The problem is that Ogres break the unofficial rule of the game that you just swarm everything with a few AoE burst spells and collect loot.

Ogre Druids are insane at the level you are when you get there. You can drag just 2 - or maybe 3 even, that are managable, if you send one to attack, and leg it back to your team. Bit crap, but gets it done.

Yeah, not the Druids. The lowest saves they have are Reflex and even that is in the 60's plus they have a bad habit of blinding your spellcasters at the start of combat and they have way higher staying power compared to your spellcasters.

Plague of Insects, Malignant Cloud, Blinding frost = never casting druids

Remember in this game a GRAZE for a spell is still a hit, just shorter.
