Do helmets really not doing anything?
None of the helmets I've found have any stats unless they are enchanted. Are normal helmets really just a fashion statement?

There are very few helmets that provide stats. Just another useless accessory. You can add enhancements yourself but ..meh...

They do stuff. Took me half the game to figure out but, shops have good stuff too. Just so use to shops in games having nothing worth wild i didnt check em. Never saw a belt in this game until checking shops.

Non-Enchanted helmets doing nothing, but by the end of Act I you should have enough enchanted head slot items (whether helmets or necklaces) for your entire party.

They aren't as rare as people are letting on.

I have fun with them.

Clearly what this game needs is MOAR HATS! Especially some TF2 themed ones.... >.>...

I find it weird that the game doesn't let you enchant helmets/hoods (or boots/gloves).

The cosmetic helmets are meant to let you make a decision purely on look rather than better numbers. You will get an enchanted helmet later.

I love the cosmetic and comedic effects of putting the enchanted armored helmet on an orlan. I call him Darth Helmet

There are some enchanted helms throughout the game, though they are rare.

I believe half of my party went through the entire game with the same, basic hoods. Not that I mind, really. I enjoyed my rogue in her cloak.

wow thats pretty sad.. easy mode speed run? didnt loot a damn thing? go to a single shop? every single person in my party and stronghold have helms and i just got finished act 1

Bonus points for playing the game using a party dressed up as Leaden Key. No one expects the Woedecan Inquisition!

I've found some of the useful. Here's a link:

http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Helm

I've used the one that gives +2 to intellect, the one that gives +1 perception/ +2 to stealth (especially good in solo to equip for sneaking), the one that gives +1 perception/+1 resolve (good for secondary tanks IMO bc increases deflection), the one that gives "Whisper of Treason", and the one that gives +2 athletics/+1 dexterity (good to equip before doing the scripts that require athletics). I haven't seen the one that gives +2 perception.

The ones that improve skills are especially helpful IMO bc I haven't found that many items that improve skills.

How? I've tried to myself and far as I've seen there is no way to enchant helms.

I doubt Speedstr has actually played very much PoE. He just likes to complain about it.

Only weapons, armors, and shields can be enchanted. No other items can receive such benefits. Which is a shame, as I'd love to have been able to enchant various capes and helms.
