Will O Wisps, ouch
So I just picked up Aloth as a companion in Gilded Vale, and discover a ruined temple in the center of town. Figuring a dungeon in the starting area can't be too hard, I take Aloth and my wolf companion to go bone hunting for the quest giver at the entrance. The first encounter is a couple of wisps, and they do a great job of wrecking my party - TPK, even though I'm only playing on Normal. So that begs the question, what am I doing wrong? I keep getting warnings as I'm attacking the wisps that my accuracy is too low, but I have no way to increase my accuracy. I've tried attacking them with a crossbow and a mace, but keep getting the warnings. So it seems I'm missing a piece of the puzzle. Here are my questions:

1) Do I need more companions? Are there any more companions in Gilded Vale?
2) Do I need some kind of special weapon to harm wisps?
3) How the heck am I supposed to increase Accuracy at 2nd level?

You need a tank. Eder is next to the tree of a thousand hangings. Do a couple of quests before jumping in there. You can also fill out your party at the inn until you find more story members.

Um... your in town and just level 1? How did that happen? There are also a few quests aroudn town and the first zone to help you get stronger.

Otherwise, just sleep at the inn and then Eder will join you. You can also create additional party members at the inn for 250. Depending on your class, I usually always pick up a custom rogue and custom priest.

Eothas' Temple is the moment you're meant to realize that "oh I'm in the starting town, this'll be easy" just isn't true. You probably want to be level 3-4 with a full party of 6 before you step.

This dungeon is not the usual "clear my cellar of rats"-thing which we know form many games of the past.

When you arrive in town, you should have level 2, which you reach right after the first dungeon, when your temporary companions died.
Just by running around, entering houses and finally talking to a certain person hanging on the tree, you should be ready for your next level. So, there is really no need to do the temple with level 1 :)

Finally, you have Aloth and you can get Eder plus at least one custom companion, who should be a rogue. Now you are four and you have a pet. Feel free, to do more of the little quests before going to the temple. Could be less frustrating :)

Sir, I'm offended. I'm going to buy this game called Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide and I assure you rats are not easy to kill. *Pick up my warhammer*

I can solo it on my level 3 wizard on PoTD.

Go up in stealth, have aloth first so he can get off the cast.

Use eldritch aim, in stealth then cast chill fog as far as you can and hit them all and get the openter.

Then cast concelhauts corrosive siphon on as many as you can then use an arcane blast.

With merely this three will be dead before the 2nd tick of concelhauts, pretty overkill.

Try that 1 or 3 times and it'll work, you don't even need multiple people.

Pick up a tank in town, that will help or do some exporing in nearyb zones and get another useful companion. Or if you have the coppers hire additional party members at the inn.
