Being a good Tank has nothing to do with class in this game really. Some classes have good class talents to make them more suited to a certain archetype, or larger Health/Endurance pools, but in no means does it make them suck or not suck at a specific role. I've seen triple crown achievements done with both a Rogue and a Paladin which were built as tanks in order to survive. They were pumped with Constitution and might with the rest dumped in Per or Res. And they were solo tanking the final boss without too much of a hassle (good strategy and loads of Endurance potions used but still). The point here is that it's about attribute distribution with gear and talent optimization. You shouldn't blame a class for sucking if you haven't done your homework. All classes are viable as long as you make the right choices when you build them.
a, not sure wht diffic u talking about, becz am playing hard!! And yes fighters have much better tanking skills!!
However fighter has the skill that changes %hits into grazes at higher levels. This tips the edge imo.
And stop saying "Pladin" you pleb. Is it hard to not type like a child?
am tried of grammar and spell ♥♥♥♥ pp go away dude
NPC paladins do not benefit from the dialogue based defence buffs, which makes them incredibly weak. If you want an NPC tank fighters do the job better. (I hope they fix this at some point.)
At lvl 4 my paladin is near impossible for enemies to hit, though they will eventually get glanced to death. My player paladin has 102 deflection with only 1 rank in each of the beneficial dialogue options. Considering that most enemies you run into have much lower accuracy than that, you can see how that is fairly defensive. And you can pump up reputations easily to buff it further.
Player paladins with high survival to make food and potions last longer are incredibly durable, moreso than any other class. The downside being thier damage output is ♥♥♥♥.
Of course your want the 5dr pass talent and a retaliate item.
All classes are good, if you think other wise, it's a matter of not understanding the system. It's not the games fault, it's yours.
It's a kind of fish that goes real well with some lemon butter and a touch of garlic.
I had a sneaking feeling this is how they would be but I hear so many people playing them (again, for the RP). Im not a min maxer but I also dont like weak links on my team. I'll stick to my fighter tank, no matter how hairy a battle gets when I look to my bottom left side of screen that guy is NEVER dmg'd, love him
Pladin aren't all that bad though. Equip a heavy 2h and smack enemies in the face with Flame of Devotion.
Is this true?
I created a party member who is the Paladin class, is she not getting any bonuses from me being Honest and Passionate (that was her deity)
