Good builds for two hand weapons?
I finished the game on normal and play my 2nd run on hard right now. I really like two hand weapons but it seems that only the ones with increased reach, i.e. Pike and Quarterstaff are viable. They are perfect for 2nd line damage dealers.
Whenever i equip someone in the frontline with a two hand weapon, they just get torn apart. I dont know how to build a good two handed char.
Any ideas for a good build?

whenever you take someone to the "front" you gotta keep some tankyness; you can build very good offensive greatsword chars, tbh. it doesn`t even take that much effort.
there are diffrent approaches though: many favor the barb, i personaly love offensive palas as offtanks. but keep in mind they gonna get hurt, so decide how to build your def (resolve, cons, etc.).

currently running a pala (off) with 17m, 10c , 14r as base and it`s enough by a far strecht. but i took plate armor, which might not be the best choice. get the offensive aura going (buffed version sporting crit), offensive talents (like 1.2 melee damage, etc.) and watch him tear everything apart...still having o-♥♥♥♥ skills like lay on hands for example.

what also works surprisingly good is a frontline druid, he can pretty much sustain himself in every situation, just the start can be a tad rough, but shapeshift counters that (boar is way stronger than it sounds).

you can go pike quarterstaff paladin, paladins are incapable of being squishy due to faith and conviction unless its not the player character OBSIDIAN PLEASE FIX MORAL CHOICE BONUSES FOR COMPANIONS ahem or you could go for a rogue both with pikes-quarterstaffs or you could go full melee and pick barbarian or monk

Paladins, Flame of Devotion, natural defences, as PC you can actually pump Faith and Conviction. Island Amaua so you can have Aquaburst, 2h and s&b (better be ready than sorry) and +2 is also nice.

Barbarians, since it is more likely that carnage will deal some meaningfull dmg after DR. Nature Godlike have already synergy with under 50% endurance.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I tested some of the builds you mentioned and so far i had the best results with Barbarians and Fighters, both Fire Godlike.

Moon Godlike is kinda broken right now too. If you max out your Might stat, you can essentially survive forever.

Oh, i didnt know that the passive heal is also affected by might. You are right, that makes moon godlikes pretty strong.
