Final Epilogue Screen...
So I just finished the game. Had a great time. 9/10 for sure. If Baldurs Gate 2 is a 10/10.

Anyways, about the last screen in the epilogue:
Where you have a long journey ahead of you. If you keep the baby from that quest in twin elms, the screen will change to say the difficult journey is yet hader by your decision to bring a baby into 'sun in shadow' with you.

Mind blown man. Mind blown. Leaves me with such questions. Is it just a joke? Is it just like, "hey, you have a baby, but you are an adventurer. Also, why the ♥♥♥♥ did you take that baby into all those fights?!? Strapped to you back!?!"

Or, is there a deeper meaning...did something happen to the baby at the end. Is it infused with some sort of essence. Perhaps Thaos' essence? Perhaps one of the gods? Eothas?

Great way to end it. If you kept the baby of course.

rofl, I did it cause I was sure there was going to be some better option that the ones presented, like someone was going to step in from out of town and take it off your hands...
it was something I thought about the rest of the game though after that quest was finished...'wtf do I do with this thing now?!'

I believe that's a reference to the Inventory Baby of BGII. Basically, if you romanced Aerie in the expansion, she'd actually give birth to your son at some point, and you'd carry the child around in your inventory for the rest of the game (unless you did horrible things to it. I think you couldn't sell it but there were ways to just dump it somewhere :P).

You could probably finangle it so it ends up in your first inventory slot and get an item forced into your inventory.

I know you could do this with familiars. Drop them, keep the CON and health. It probably works with babies.

There was also some trick you could use to get Boo out of Minsc's inventory and that worked for the baby as well.
