paladin companions and faith and devotion ability
Paladins' Faith an Devotion ability gets stronger or weaker depending on wheher you adhere to their virtues in dialogue (e.g. honest, cruel, etc.). So what about paladin companions? Does their faith and devotion ability vary in strength according to how you (the PC) conduct yourself in dialogue? Or does it not vary at all?

I had this question as well. I think priests, like Durance, also have abilities that are effected in this way.

I just loaded up with a lvl 7 save that had the feathery paladinete. Faith and Devotion was at the base level 5/10/10/10 despite my party leaders behavior.

Maybe this changes only during combat and reflects this on the character sheet only during fights? I haven't had a chance to test this, but have wondered the same thing. I have a paladin companion I created, but so far the F&D buff is still base level even though I have 2-3 levels in both areas that should affect this.

For this there should be kind of an approval system like in DA:O...
"Durance approves...(+5)" e.g.

when he joins your party, I recalled him saying it does not matter what youre disposition was so you can do whhat ever you want and he was just fine with it, so he might not be effected by this.

Only the main character is affected by your reputations. Adventurer and companion priests and paladins don't gain any advantage or disadvantage from it.

This does mean that non-Watcher paladins are a lot weaker, since the benefits to Faith and Devotion can get pretty large if you game your responses right.

Which is why Pallegina is relegated to permanent drunken fool escort duty at the keep.

I saw this in another thread too, makes the Paladins weaker imo. I created a NPC Paladin (to tank) and I now realize that I should have created a Fighter like Eder.

I would hope it has been changed. I was thinking about getting this for awhile and then seen a whole lot of stuff on this game on how very balanced it is. But this doesn't seem very balanced at all.

This caught my interest because I always make a priest and a paladin type characters in these type games and I wouldn't want to think atleast one of them will be gimped by default .

anyone know?
