Best defence vs Dominate?
Hiya so I am now starting to face those charming Vithrack. While not too difficult it is getting annoying to have to spend time after a fighter waiting for any charmed members of my team to return to my control (not to mention them shooting at me).

As such, are there any spells that can either protect, remove or shorten the period of dominate? I have looked at my priest & druid spells but cannot seem to find anything (possible I missed it). Also so of my chars have mental fortress talent which makes absolutly no difference.

So any suggestions, would be fantastic if there was a way I could shorten it's duraction, getting old having a member of my party attack me long after the actual fight is over.

Not sure if your own Charm Spells would uncharm them? Would have thought so, though I haven't tried. I just suffer it out, making sure none of mine attack that that player.

Hmm counter-charm...not a bad idea at all, will give it a go next time. Thanks!

Holy meditation (+15 will)

Supress affliction (not sure, think i used this succssffully though. Game might recognize charm player as a non party member though). Might also try the mage one that suspends benefitcial effects on enemies (haven't tried, think that's a long shot though).

prayer against treachery (+50 vs charm0.
crown of the faithful (+62 will)

Counter-charming sort of works. You can't control them, but at least they are on your side again.

Fampyrs and Vithracks seem to like to charm no matter what Aloth (had a Fampyr charge past all my other characters just to charm Aloth) so when I charge my party forward I would cast magic reflection just as battle starts and they'll have their charm and dominates bounce back onto them, at which point I stomp on their stupid faces for being so annoying and stupid. In other words, my counter to charm and dominate is Aloth.

This appears to be due to enemy tendency to go after low health targets. If your character is wounded and near death, the enemy will go out of their way to finish the job even if there's a perfectly healthy tank standing next to them.

Since Aloth is a wizard and has lower health than, well, EVERYBODY.... he makes a perfect aggro magnet. So give him some of those +deflection spells and watch as everyone FAILS to kill him.
