crash every load exchange zone
such a vicious crash....
I'm also on Windows 7 64 bit - havn't experienced a single game crash so far *touches wood*
but that is strange because according to Obsidian/Paradox the game shouldn't crash on 64 because it was made for 64....and most of the crash happen on 32
/kyia i did it like 3-4 times, it seems that the game is less crashy after but i still cannot go in gilded vale...
1. Opt in to the beta patches.
From the notes for 1.04: Optimized how scene transitions are handled for better memory usage on 32-bit machines. This may allow players to transition to new areas without running out of memory.
2. Linux.
It appears that the crashes are memory-related. Linux does not have the same limitations on memory usage that XP does. Installing a dual boot of a noob-friendly distribution like Mint or Ubuntu takes about 15 minutes. (It's the preparation that can take some time. Clearing out a small corner of the hard drive. Backup of important data. Downloading and burning the iso image if using a dvd for the installation.)
but i cannot play anymore, the game crash when i enter catacombs which means i cannot continue the story
i was so motivated playing this game but now it is melting...
you need a password: BETAPASSWORD so you can suscribe to the beta updates, otherwise it is not possible
ill give a try and tell
64-bit Windows 8.1
damn ! the beta patch seems to work, i'll try going back to gilded vale
If you're running on a 32-bit OS and/or have the minimum memory requirements (ALA 4gigs RAM), you want to modify your boot.ini to get more RAM for other programs and take RAM away from your OS. That may stop the crashing if you meet any of the requirements I just mentioned.
