Raedric's Keep - Gaining Entry To Nedmar's Room
So, I've got a small problem I'm hoping you guys can help me out with:

I'm invading Raedric's pad because, you know, reasons and stuff. I worked my way up to the priest's level and proceeded to steal some of their duds. I had a look around, and noted a locked door which I would later discover is where Nedmar is hidden away. I went into the chapel, saw the skull and took the stone from it. Nothing happened at the time.

After that I made my way downstairs and wound up in a horrible little place with a strange woman. I went along with her suggestion to kill Nedmar with no real intention on following through. I headed back upstairs to the priest's level but forgot to put the robes back on, so ended up killing two people. I chucked on the robes, but by then it was too late, so everybody had to die. Oops.

Checked out Nedmar's room. Still locked, and don't have the mechanics skill needed. Checked out Google which pointed out the skull in the chapel is supposed to be the key to the secret entrace, which I sort of figured since there's a strange wall a few feet away. Played around with the skull a bit, but couldn't get anything to happen.

So then I went back down stairs and decided to outright kill the nasty woman. Did that, took the key she had and freed the prisoner. Hoping this might give me a chance with Nedmar I went back upstairs, but alas, no luck.

How the hell do I get in? Am I doing something wrong with the secret entrance? Is it not the skull? Or do I need to come back later with lockpicks and mechanic?

Cheers,

There's 2 skulls to interact with in that room. One by the left entrance and one up top. The left one you can immediately see with hitting TAB. The other is secret and has to be found while stealthing.

Nothing seems to be popping up in stealth mode, either, sadly

Just a quick bump in case anybody has any other ideas before I have to abandon the quest

Ignore that, managed to find the damn switch.

After sneaking round the room numerous times, including the second skull, I eventually managed to find an online map with the precise location of the swtich. Thinking it a pointless errand since I'd already been there many times I sent my part over to the skull and activated scout mode. Bam, switch suddenly appeared.

Really, game, really? :P AH well, onwards with bloodthirsty rampaging.

Was there any loot/xp to make it worth going back to? I skipped that door.

Nah. It's a straight path to Raedric, though.

Now I just have to choose which of two questionable people to side with. The bummer is I already killed the Animancer earlier in a desperate attempt to get through the mission since the switch wasn't showing up

Wolf - you can side with nobody. Agree to kill your quest giver, find him, end him, come back, give in quest, receive rewards, manually click swordy button and smash Raedrics Face.

Let's you loot both the castle and the bodies of your benefactors. Because, frankly, they're both useless.

Raedric just gave up and started lynching people in hopes that one of them dungoofditup and killing that person will suddenly solve everything. He also first killed a bunch of priests because they MIGHT have worshiped the wrong god, THEN lynches all animancers and most of the nurses/healers because they couldn't help, THEN gave that women in the cellar carte blanche to perform worse experiments than any of the people he lynched, while at the same time lynching MORE people for not following the tenets of the faith - several of which condemn animancy. Durrrrr.

Your quest giver is just a very ambitious little turd who hopes you will free up a throne for him.

Seriously, he sent a bunch of farmers and lowlifes against a fortified castle, escaped while they died, and then gets a bunch of mercenaries to do it for him for free. The only reward he offers is "keep whatever you looted", as if he could stop you.

He should have gone for professional help in the first place and kept his people alive.

I went to kill Raedric but then I saw the tuth - Raedric is at heart a good but desperate man so I went back and slew the lowlife usurper. Maybe with my help and the animancers help we will remove the plague, Raedric will make me filthy rich and the village will be happy.

Looking forward to see how it unfolds :)
