Temple of Woedica
Now, I'll start off by saying that I'm not the best at these sort of games. It might even be debatable that I suck at them, so this might be entirely me.

...But is the Temple of Woedica fight supposed to be ridiculously hard for a level five character? I've got all five other party members (Eder, Aloth, Durance, Ranger Dwarf, and Kana) and I myself am a Ranger with a Wolf, but the moment the fight starts, we essentially get melted and its GG. I've tried several times to position my people beforehand, forcing the enemies to funnel at the door, etc, etc, but nothing seems to work. They always manage to slip past, and when that happens, it might as well be GG, because either Eder moves and gets nuked by everyone or my teammates slowly get melted by the few stragglers that get through.

Am I doing something wrong here, or is this just a quest for higher leveled characters? Also, I've tried simply enterting with the entire party, but that's probably worse than entering alone and pulling them all out, since I don't even have time to position my party before they start getting nuked.

I didn't have much trouble. Although maybe I had the paladin you find in Defiance Bay. Was maybe lvl 6 as well, since I had done all the quests first.

lol You can avoid any fight in Temple of Woedica simply by wearing a cultist mask you can pick up from sorpse in the sewers, and walking into the main chamber alone. As a matter of fact you may talk the guards to let you pass into the temple and bully one of the acolytes to give you his mask. Additionaly you may learn the correct words you need to speek in the last chamber from him.

You don't need to kill a single person within the temple... All you need to do is to infiltrate the temple, get your information you need, and everything is fine.

For fights with a tough, large group, I would recommend opening combat from stealth with the wizard spell that Confuses your enemies. As long as stealth is not broken, the spell will go off uninterrupted until its effect takes place. Try to catch as many people as possible within the AOE.

If all goes well, your enemies will be busy killing each other, leaving you free to pick off enemy wizards and other squishies at range. The key to this strategy is good scouting because you never want to waste your big crowd control spells on groups that don't need it.

This. I got wiped but if you put on the disguise and go in alone you do 't fight. If you have it it will prompt you to don it. If you don't have it, make it a habit of looting EVERYTHING.., especially with the stash setup in this game..

I beat the fight on my first try, I would just have them come at me from the door. It helps to have the game time going slowly, using S, that way no one will autoattack and get out of position. Aloth and Kana nuking from behind the line should make the fight pretty simple. Keep your fighters infront while Durance heals everyone. It should be easy enough.

Ah, this must be what I did wrong. I got the mask and everything, infiltrated them, but never really pushed the Acolyte. I asked everything I assumed my character would ask, then left him to his thing, meaning that the only options I had for the Shrouded Woman were like "mumblemumblehailwoedica?mumblemumble."

i killed everything in there...try just bombarding the area with spells right off the bat. If you can kill those spell casters that hide out near the back it's not so tough, cuz they seem to really target healers and other spellcasters. Took me a few tries to get it, but it's definitely the type of fight you need to just do a TON of dmg right off the bat, then clean up. Which kind of makes sense since it's essentially a 'surprise' attack. Use scrolls and food buffs too if you have them.

Not in the Temple of Woedica. Those are Leaden Key cultists. Maybe you refer to something else?

no I was referring to Woedica, the god/deity

"Woedica: Her domains include law, justice, oaths and promises, (rightful) rulership, hierarchies, memory, and vengeance.
Priestesses of the Exiled Queen serve as lawyers and judges in towns and urban centers, and the most prominent among them are advisers to kings and lords. They are of particular importance in the Empire of Aedyr, where by tradition, business contracts always require their endorsement. Her devotees are typically found in the upper classes, but any conservative person who longs for a vanished past will find a place in her faith."

Then, about your prior question about if is for chaotic evil characters:

Woedica is ready herself to not respect `the rules of game´ in order to secure her power between deities. Other gods, in lore of Pillars of Eternity, swore loyalty to her but Woedica in certain moment begin break rules to achieve more power and authority. It is possible that the treason of other deities is due to see that Woedica began to apart for her areas (justice, strict hierarchy, order, etc) and thats the reason why they dethron her. But fight against Woedica or her followers not imply be chaotic evil or something.

Or fight alognside Rymrgand not implicate be good cause he said that entropy is peace and stillness. Or with Hylea cause she defend life and birth, creation. Every god defend and protect own posture. It is their duty.

Huh? None of the earlier posts in this old topic is from you. Maybe reread what I've quoted and replied to? The posters referred to the fight in the temple. Those are Leaden Key agents in there.

You need to talk to certain people in order to get the correct pass code for the door
