RPG GAME OF THE YEAR

I think it is great. Game of the year is so arbitrary that I refuse to give that designation to anything.

It is most definitely ONE of the Games of the Year for me. And is one of my favorite games I have ever played.

Definitely a game that I will remember for a long time. There always turn out to be 4 or 5 games people call GOTY and nobody can agree on any one. So all I can say is that the game is easily a success and I look forward to the next big thing from Obsidian.

Yeah, GOTY got my vote even though I'm less than 20 hours in and haven't entered the first majoy city yet. Why I'm giving it GOTY? becuase last night after the patch I played 9 hours straight with no breaks in between. Most games these days I play 1 to 2 hours then stopped because of boredom. The last game I played this long was DAO.

The year only starte and I'm hoping for some good titles to come out this year later... but frankly I don't see how anything could beat Pillars of Eternity, save for the expansion for Pillars of Eternity.

POE was #1 steam sales day 1 & 2 then moved down to number 3 and subsequently to 4 yesterday. Glad to see the game moved up to #3 again this monring :)

we had a few miserable years already. This year is just awesome... PoE will compete for rpg of the year title with Witcher 3. Thou Witcher 3 is more of a adventure rpg than pure rpg. The 3.rd shining light this year (at least for me) would be Shroud of the Avatar by Richard "Lord British" Garriot

The only other game with GOTY potential if it gets released this year is Torment which I also backed. What puts me off is turned based combat.

I would say more action/adventure RPG. Bought The Witcher 2 back in 2012 and still haven't finished it. So many games so little time.
