The Parable of Wael HELP! *Spoilers*

So I completed the task, opted to hide the scroll as Wael commanded. Went back to the Hall of Revealed mysteries and everything is hostile!

When you kill the quest npc you get a task failed pop up. Is this a bug?

-My reputation with Defiance Bay is neutral so it isn't that.

Hmm - I went back and talked to the priest lady, told her what Wael had told me and when she said she didn't believe me, asked her what she thought I would need an old scroll for? or something like that - after which she believed me and I got the finished quest.

Did you not get chance to talk to the priest?

No, everything in there was immediatly hostile as soon as I entered. I've done nothing to cause hostility, reputation is fine, no stealing. Everything was fine when I left the building after picking the task up!

If you stole the Theorems of Pandgram for the chick in Brackenbury, evn if you got out undetected, they will be hostile. It's missing and you were the only one skulking about. To keep them happy you shouldve told Grimda about her wanting that scroll.

The auto-hostile bug has been reported by other people - enter using stealth, apparently this can cure it.

for the record I did the quest for the theorems both ways, and indeed they were hostile upon re-entry unless I did that quest the other way. You stole from them obv they are mad

100% wasn't caused through any action I'd taken.

Edit: Entered building stealthed. NPC's are no longer hostile, that worked fine. Thanks for your help and especially Boink.

-Never thought to search for such a bug, as initially I accepted that there was a chance I had done something accidently to cause it - Wasn't until I thought about it that I realised It wasn't through any action I'd taken.

Entered building stealthed help, thanks a lot. I have this bug too. If it helps - there a description. I dont steal anything from temple, or library, heh? just read books from shelfs and check what in big chest in treasure room. I dont take book from chest, because dont know why i need it, nobody see me more than half yellow circle when i open door and go in treasure room, but after i return all attack me.

what treasure room? If you mean the locked "archives", picking that lock will do the trick too.

Shoot, I think I mesed it up. My last save was awhile ago and I already entered the building. I can flee and not lose the rep for killing everyone. What was the quest reward so I know if it's worth going back to a long ago save. I also sided with wael's command.

mostly exp...which you only get questing in this game..

The other quest reward was some kind of intelligence boosting hood, if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks. I guess I'll go back and sneak in the first time. This will teach me not to rely on quicksaves and autosaves so much.

Hmm this sucks. I definitely didn't take the theorem scroll from them but they were hostile to me when I zoned back in to talk to the leader about the Wael scroll.

Its easy enough to slaughter them all but the reputation hit is huge.

Autosave also *REALLY* needs to save before a transition, not after one.
