Keep guest
So Nyry the Deft Hand is visiting my keep. I obviously don't want him because he gives me bad rep. What should i do ?
I only have two options: "Pay off" and "Escort".

The developers were brilliant and didn't explain any of the options.
What does "pay off" mean ? Do i pay him off to leave my keep ? Why ? I could just kick him out! It's my keep!
Escort ? Does my party member escort him to the nearest prison ? ...Or does he protect him from guards and lawmen ? What does escort mean ?

But i also noticed that no matter which option i choose, i get no notification that anything happened at all.
Anyways, which one should be the "good" option ? When it comes to visitors the game is just downright retarded. I know what they wanted to do with this feature but it's just...just badly done and lame.
It's worse than any kind of romance would have ever been.

Sending an escort means you assign one of your companions or adventurers to get rid of the unwanted guest. It takes a few turns, making that companion unavailable to any other assignments or adventurings but it's free. And there's no "good" option here I guess.
i wish i knew how to find Nyry the Deft Hand, thats the 2nd visitor ive had and i searched all over the keep the place is a ghost town
I agree you should be able to kick them out, at the same time, he is a lord, he might bad mouth you, so there is a reason why you would lose prestige if you did that, but the option should still be there. TBF the keeps feels unfinished and just ... there, an "oh ♥♥♥♥, it really happened, guess we have to do the Stronghold now, *sigh*"

Here are the results, as far as I've seen them:
- Pay off = lose the stated amount, he goes away, lose all penalties immediately.
- Escort = lose the escorting hero for X days until they get back, lose all penalties immediately.

They will return though, awhile after you have escorted them away.
But they also return even if you pay them off.. I think escort is the better options as that one lord has already taken like 500 copper from me and still keeps coming back.
What happens if you find them in the keep and kill them? I know that specific guy usually stands near my treasury chest.
Yea the keep feels unfinished...unalive. It feels empty and...pointless.
It should become like a medieval town after you've finished building at least half of the buildings. Castle used to be in the middle of the town. This is like a town: You have shops, merchants an inn, fountains, a castle. Would love to see people settle in and stuff.
Who are these shops for ? Honestly, who on earth would come and live in a shop just for 1 guy...even if he's a lord (or she). That doesn't make any sense! Not only is it not logical but after awhile you just realise that it's pointless and feels sooooo empty and lifeless.

How is it pointless ? You basically just get a resting bonus from each building but you can only have 1 resting point at a time.
So basically just pick the one you will use, build that house and ignore every other one...

The guests are also pointless. They don't do or add anything. They only say one line. You can't even chat with them. Kicking them out should be an option!
Also the prisoners you take...So they can escape ? OK, cool! But how about letting us hunt down the escaped convicts ? They escape and BAM, they are just gone from the game ? Seems unfair and honestly ruins my roleplaying because my character wouldn't let criminals just wonder off and get back into their old ways. He would hunt them down and kill them!

I'm hoping for a sequel with a much improved keep. Right now the keep is shallow...Pointless.

Escorting is basically getting rid of them, "officially". You got a guy to escort them for 'protection', when he's more there to keep him from getting into trouble, doing crimes in your land and whatnot.

Kinda like how a mafia guy gets his henchman to escort you to the bathroom because his house is so big and doesnt want you to get lost, the real reason is because he doesnt want you wandering around his house and the guy is there to stop you from doing anything bad.

Or you pay him off to get rid of him right away, without using up a party member. Or just leave him, and you get the security penalties and such.
Option 3: You can travel to the Main Keep and kill him. This keeps negative visitors from coming back and they drop some minor coin and sell-able loot.

Ah cool. Didnt know that was possible. Dont often visit the keep atm I guess, so why I normally just send a random to escort him from the premises. But murder.......I like it!
you can go to your keep and talk to him. one of the options is something like "how dare you come here?" and then he's executed. you get 1 prestige.
No criminals in my Keep! The noose for them!
I need to find where Solmar the Shackler is. It's at the stage where he's offering to buy one of my prisoners.
Stronghold visitors always wait in the great hall - unless they have left already.
nah, Solmar was bugged in my game and he never showed up. thats fine, I guess I'll just keep my prisoners all for myself.
