Crucible Knights and Dozens Question? [Potential Spoilers]
I have completed Rogue Knight for Osric and then accepted Dozens quest. Then completed Built to Last for Crucible Knights. Dunstan tells me that commander has more work for me. But Commander said that I'm a close ally to Dozens so that puts us to a precarious position.

So by accepting (not completing) the second quest with Dozens locked me other paths? Or could I be able to get a way to start second Crucible Knight quest?

Nope. I got caught out by that too and no there is no way to progress further with the Crucible Knights after accepting the second Crucible Knights quest. Mildly annoying that's not clearer.

Damn. That cost me a neat 5 hours game time :D

It tells you pretty early they are at odds, and eder is very clear about his feelings. I actually like it. I can't stand being able to do every quest for 2 opposing factions without consequence and running afoul. This isn't bethesda.

You were dead set on the Crucible knights, huh? I mightve just kept going.

That is pretty clear they are at odds. And I was not expecting to complete all their quests. Just didn't think simply accepting would lock things out. Since in reputation both factions were noted as Ally.

I was thinking more in the line, perhaps in one of the quests they would offer to cross one side or another. Not expecting a Bethesda kind of folly :D

Yea I'm not big on strategy guides but I'm glad I read about this part. I get that they have mutually exclusive factions and quests, that's cool. But it is really really easy to accidentally screw up your characters disposition or role play experience through ambiguous conversation and quests. Must be careful.

Basically after before you accept the 2nd quest you get a warning about pissing off the other factions.

If you accept it locks you out of the other two factions and you have stick with that faction. I personally hate the Doemenels. (They sent thugs after me) after I butchered two of their squads for protecting that merchant guy. I would have paid/diplomacy them if the option was given but they wanted hard cold steel and they end up dead.

Lawful Evil - House Doemenel
Neutral Good - Crucible Knights
Chaotic Neutral - Dozens

Actually you killed one of their family members (Danna Doemenel) hence you get a major reputation loss with them.

But I wouldn't classify them into D&D alignments since all the factions have a fairly gray area with them. A different perception would be;

Wannabe Knights - Crucible Knights

Mafia - House Doemenel

Angry Mob - Dozens

Originally I was considering to side with Crucible Knights due to my character being an intelligent fighter who generally sides with Animancers...but I'm not sure about Forge Knights idea of Crucible Knights. Being an Aedyr Noble, I could reconsider siding with House Doemenel and leave Crucible Knights to my Bleak Walker playthrough(if I ever get that time to do a new playthrough).

I sided with the House doemenel and i got a huge profit at their Game of Throne Play. Now I am half way to the end. ( Money Raining)
