Vanishing Items

Loaded a saved game this morning and found that my main weapon was missing, as well as a few items in my inventory. Looking through some of Obsidians threads, this was a bug even back in Beta.

Seeing as how items can just randomly vanish, it's more or less a game breaking bug for me at this moment.

Anyone else having this problem?

yup, many people noticed this. random items can go "missing". often people dont notice it as trash items disapear. but for some. handheld weapons (or for me Guan's pledge) whent missing.

Really enoying. will stop pleying the game the it is patched. am really hoping you get the items back with the patch. or else i have to go back to a 8 hour earlier save.... :(

Yes, my main weapon went missing right after I made it to GV.

ow btw heard from someone his wizard's grimoire went missing. that is so sad as the wizard then is totally useless haha

Yeah it is a game stopper for sure. No point in progressing, not knowing when a random item (or two, or three) will simply just "poof" into oblivion.

Thankfully I had just bought this game, and was only an hour or so in. So not being able to play it is just a minor annoyance (for now), and not a rage inducing "I WANT A REFUND!!1!" rant.

Yeah, I basically quit playing after I've lost several (important) items. Really game breaking for me, not playing until they fix these bugs. Don't wanna use AddItem console commands either, because that would disable achievements.

And here I was thinking I was playing a non-buggy game by Obsidian

Yeah it's sad that this is just one of the game breaking bugs, out of the handful people are coming across. Sure it's a new game, fresh out from release, but damn. So many. Game testers were sleeping on this one.

Most likely you threw your weapon to save the rogue. Missing items are in your stash.

Negative, I have equiped a few weapons since the intro/tutorial, and my stash is empty.

yep, one of my chars that i bought at the inn died, and his items were missing after I looted them from his corpse, nowhere to be found in inventory or in stash. I stopped playing the game until this is fixed

Give as much information as possible - if the devs can't reproduce the problem it makes it hard to fix it.

Posting so I can easily follow the thread. I've noticed at least a couple of items go missing. A pet and a named sword.

I had this happen to one of my created characters(from the tavern) I had outfited it and went to a map and all of the items on that character was gone not in my inventory just gone. it was the same on my auto save so I had to go back a bit further with an quick.

since when has this problem been occuring? maybe that stealth patch i heard about has something to do with it
