Endless paths level 7 question
What are the Blight Forges for? I have placed all the prisms on their pedestal but nothings happened.

I think it just removes some blights in the eastern area. Not sure.

It removes a tough group of enemies.

Yeah they did hit a bit hard, sadly never completed the forges before killing those enemies. Ah well.

Lol, I was wondering this myself, I cleared the areas before activating the forges and could never figure out what they did.

I just finished this level last night. It appears to remove the force field or whatever surrounding the pedestal that contains the prism you need to exit the level

No, you can click on the final pedestal before you activate any of the forges. Maybe you were supposed to have to activate all the forges before you could go down to the next level, but the script is broken.

Poorly designed level, I see this question all over the net and 90% of the time, people have cleared the whole map out and *then* place the gems, myself included

As i recall it, while exploring the level, I placed maybe 2 of those stones before proceeding towards the exit. As I closed in to the room which has the exit, I saw an elemental mob with a name which made me think it was tougher than the rest I previously encountered. I also received a warning about going that way. So I turned around, continued to explore the rest of the level, finished the companion quest, and also finished placing the stones where they belonged. Every time I was placing a stone, an elemental of apropriate symbol (wind, fire, etc.) would apprear in the machine. Then I went to the final room and didn't find the mob I previously saw, or any mob what-so-ever.

So the only (probable) conclusion I can draw right now is that there might be 4 or 5 strong elementals guarding the exit door, and if you place the stones where they belong, the machines suck in and trap those strong mobs, leaving the exit unguarded.

I think this answers my wondering
Before placing any (or maybe did I place 1) the exit was guarded by some very powerful mob including a huge master among them.
as I placed 1 more and continued my guerilla tactic and return them in parts, I was surprised to not see that master anywhere.
So it's reasonable to have removed some monsters at the exit.
