Question on Raedric's Hold. *spoilers*
I stealthed thru the sewers and then thru the rest of the keep and got to him but his group just wrecks me. Im pretty sure I could kill Raedric himself if I really focus on him but it would probably take alot of tries.

Just wanted to ask before I waste time trying: If I kill Raedric first will the fight end?

You have to kill the people that are in his room, the rest outside don't care.

Yeah, thats what im saying. The people in that room wreck me.
Pretty sure you have to kill everyone in that room.

He wrecks me too but I only have two wizards, a fighter and that priest guy who for now is fairly useless.

I am going to try to funnel them into a corridor and if that fails, I'll come back in a couple of levels with two extra guys.

Tried to set a bunch of traps up for the first time but apparently you can only have 1 up at a time :(

Have your tank lure them to the bedroom or the northwest room and stand in the doorway. They are then destroyed pretty quickly using aoe spells.

Only in this way won. But the quest is not updated and will not count the death of Roderick.
Bug?

hey, that priest guy is far from useless. The aoe buffs hold your tanks down while they hold aggro. Also some nice aoe debuff spells. Don't use him to fight until you have the situation well in hand.

I grabbed a Paladin hireling to complete it, but it still ended in a weird way. My party went down mostly, the wizard first (because he sucks, I'm considering putting him in plate, not sure if there's a reason not to), then slowly everyone else except the warrior. By that time there were only 2 minions left and he slowly, but surely, killed them. I didn't cheese it in the doorway, but that probably would have been a lot easier.

I beat him by using the doorway and having my fighter with enhanced defender stand in it while the priest buffed him. Aloth got KO'd pretty quick after fireing off his first AoE due to the archers and my Paladin poked with her spear behind my tank. My Ranger has a fine arbalast and that ability that enhances damage and accuracy at the cost of fire rate and he gibbletized the other archers.

So wheres the treasure vault? Guy said I could have the shinies but I cant find it.

Oh really... I didn't think to do that. I just stormed the castle and killed all his guards. I had 5 party members doing this btw and I was maining a fighter so I had a pretty realible tank. I also had 2 priests that was prob level 2 or 3 I forgot which, but they had the Prone trap which made all of the guards in the radius stay prone for 13 secs. Wrecked them that way with AoE spells from the wizard . Atfer that I had tons of platemail and weapons. I did have to reload a couple of times to get the aggro right though.

There was a sewer?

Atfer getting into the castle it was alot easier. Everyone of my party was tanky and well equiped. I did this all on hard so it is possible to do.

At the last battle no one on my roster died at all. Helps to have 2 priests.

You could have also gone west of the gate and scaled the walls. So there were 3 ways in.

What worked well for me is I saved right before the stairs to the throne, then had Durance lay 3 traps that make enemies slip and go prone when they walk on it. then I positioned my party behind it a ways. then I had one character walk forward and initiate conversation. Combat started and had the guy run back to my group, they all follow and slip n slide, so I went for the priest first so they dont have heals. while that was going on I had durance cast the pillar spell twice on the group thats still laying on the ground. then the wizard, while Durance and others cast endurance restore spells as often as possible.

OK, don't let anyone ever tell you that this game's combat is not highly strategical.

Fighting Rodrick is near impossible after you talk to him. There are a ton of enemies and I have two wizards and a priest who go down before they can cast a single spell. Plus I'm doing the no KO achiev.

Frontal attack may be honest, but you can't take over a kingdom with it. Here is what I did. I went in using Rodrick's bed room, mainly because going another way confronted my level 4 party with too difficult foes. I left one wizard, the priest and the hired warrior in the bedroom, casters a bit to the back and the warrior near the door, but to the side, so one can walk by him because path-finding is so bad in this game.

I sent in a wizard in the throne room (my main) using sneak mode. They saw me but it is not important. I cast that rolling fire ball speel form max range and as soon as it autopaused for combat, I ordered the wizard to run in the room to the back near the other wizards. As soon as he passed the warrior, I ordered the warrior to stand in the doorway. The entire throne room was blocked, attacking my warrior in the throne room. I ordered the priest to hug the warrior and cast healing aura. One wizard cast a single slicken. Then they took turn casting conal AoEs. $ conal AoEs did the job.

Nobody died. I didn't even bother to rest so most of my chars had low health. The warrior lost max half his endurance. The foes went down very fast.
